This Sunday in our series "The Good Life," we'll look at Matthew 6:16-18.

"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

We'll discuss how the discipline of fasting helps us curb our demands and appetites, especially in a world of instant gratification. Join us as we explore this passage on Sunday.

Service times every Sunday:
Traditional Service - 8:30 am
Contemporary Service - 10:30 am

This Sunday in our series "The Good Life," we'll look at Matthew 6:14–15.

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

With this passage we move past the Lord’s Prayer into Jesus’ commentary, as Jesus teaches more about forgiveness with some challenging ideas. We know that our forgiveness is based on God’s grace to us and on Jesus’ faithfulness and not our own. Therefore, forgiveness cannot be a way we earn forgiveness. So how are we to understand this?

Join us as we explore this passage on Sunday.

This Sunday in our series "The Good Life," we'll look at Matthew 6:13.

"And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one."

This petition really hits the Christian experience right on the nose in that it reveals the fact that we continue to struggle with sin and temptation even after our sins have been forgiven. But it is important to remember that God does not lead us into temptation. James 1:13 tells us, "When tempted no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil; nor does he tempt anyone.

Join us as we explore this passage on Sunday.

Yesterday a large group of our Pathfinders left for Inspiration Point Camp! Pray for a great experience enjoying the outdoors, trying new adventures, meeting new friends, and growing in their relationship with Christ. They will be returning on Wednesday.

On Sunday we'll have an opportunity to hear about their time at camp during our Community Life hour between the services. (9:40 am in the Fellowship Hall).

This afternoon!

Today starting at 4:00 pm, it's our 7th annual We Care Eau Claire backpack event. We’re a group of churches serving families in the Chippewa Valley by providing their kids with backpacks filled with grade-level specific school supplies.

If you or someone you know would be especially blessed in this way, please pass the word!

The event is happening in the Phoenix Park pavilion from 4:00–7:00 pm. (Families do begin lining up pretty early.)
