Today, I celebrate the vibrant and beautiful life of my sister Vanessa—a soul who radiated joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Vanessa was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unshakable, and her love for family ran deep and true.

She lived life out loud—with passion, fun, and a fearless joy that made even the smallest moments feel special. Whether she was dancing in the kitchen, cracking jokes, or showing up for those she loved, Vanessa made you feel seen, valued, and loved.

Her love for family was her heartbeat. She brought us together, reminded us of what truly matters, and made every gathering feel like a celebration. She didn’t just live—she lived well, and she made sure those around her did too.

Though I miss her deeply, I carry her spirit with us: in the laughter and love we shared, and the memories that will forever warm my heart.

Vanessa, your life was a gift, and your legacy is love.

A Loving Tribute to Deacon Emeritus Ernest A. Williams

It is with a heavy heart, yet a spirit of gratitude, that I reflect on the life and legacy of our beloved Deacon Emeritus Ernest Williams.

Deacon Williams was more than just a servant of the church—he was a pillar in the Kingdom of God. His faith was unwavering, his commitment was steadfast, and his heart overflowed with love for God’s people. Whether he was greeting members at the door, lifting prayers on behalf of others, or lending a helping hand where it was needed most, Deacon Williams embodied the call of Christ to serve with humility and grace.

I was honored to walk alongside him in ministry. He was a man of wisdom and quiet strength, with a contagious smile and a deep well of compassion. He didn’t just talk about faith—he lived it. His example reminded us all what it means to be faithful over a few things, and I have no doubt that he is now hearing those cherished words: “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”

To his family, know that we stand with you in prayer and love. Your loss is our loss. But take comfort in knowing that Deacon Williams has left behind a legacy that will echo through the halls of our church and the lives he touched for generations to come.

Rest well, Deacon. Your labor was not in vain.
