As I arise today,
may the strength of God pilot me,
the power of God uphold me,
the wisdom of God guide me.
May the eye of God look before me,
the ear of God hear me,
the word of God speak for me.
May the hand of God protect me,
the way of God lie before me,
the shield of God defend me,
the host of God save me.
May Christ shield me today.

Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit,
Christ when I stand,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
(Amen)

Winter isn't over as a season, but there is a shift of focus occurring.
As we have moved from the seasons of Christmas and Epiphany, we see changes in our sanctuary, minds and hearts.
We lift praises for the hope, peace and love gifted to us in the Nativity, we recognize the Light (from which we cannot and should not hide❤️) and we begin to reflect on the unmatched sacrifice of the Crucifixion and the life-changing promises of the Resurrection.

Join us for Sunday School 9:30-10:15am and Sunday Service 10:30-11:30am.

Our sanctuary was filled today with prayers of Communion and songs of gratitude.

Thank you to Barb for organizing (and all cooks for adding to) a yummy lunch together and thanks to all the hands that helped to decorate our sanctuary for the Christmas season ❤️

On this First Sunday of Advent, we prepare for a season of anticipation....eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Christ Child. Let us prepare for the anniversary of His arrival in the world with hearts of gratitude, for He is already here...already with us. Let us remember and proclaim the abundant blessings that fill our lives when He fills our hearts.

MY TRIBUTE
-Andréa Crouch
How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me?
Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove Your love to me.
The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude.
All that I am and ever hope to be,
I owe it all to Thee.
To God be the glory,
To God be the glory,
To God be the glory
For the things He has done
With His Blood, He has saved me.
With His power, He has raised me.
To God be the glory for the things He has done.
Just let me live my life
Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee.
And should I gain any praise,
Let it go to Calvary.
With His Blood, He has saved me.
With His power,He has raised me.
To God be the glory for the things He has done.

Thank you to our organist/pianist, Rebecca Sizelove, for sharing a beautiful arrangement of this song to open our service this morning ❤️
All Hail The Power of Jesus ' Name

1 All hail the power of Jesus' name! Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all!
2 O seed of Israel's chosen race
now ransomed from the fall,
hail him who saves you by his grace, and crown him Lord of all.
Hail him who saves you by his grace, and crown him Lord of all!
3 Let every tongue and every tribe responsive to his call,
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.
To him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all!
4 Oh, that with all the sacred throng we at his feet may fall!
We'll join the everlasting song
and crown him Lord of all.
We'll join the everlasting song
and crown him Lord of all

Inviting you to join us as we lift up those of our congregation, community, country and world that so desperately need to feel the Lord's hand on their hearts and lives. We praise God for the joys and blessings of this day and this lifetime. We pray to find the Lord and His abiding love in every moment and in unexpected places and faces. Let us be guided by His will to be His hands and feet in the world.
