Recently 10-40 window has had extreme set backs for Christians. India falls #10 on the world watch list, in a recent story by quoted “They destroyed our house just because we believe in Jesus Christ” and sadly that is not the worst happening. Church- we ask you join us in praying for our brothers and sisters suffering. We ask that Jesus guide and protect their every step as they walk with him! Allow them to be the hands and feet to share the good news. Father we want an undeniable peace to fall on the government officials, that hearts be soften and ears be open to you. 🌏

We are grateful for the time you chose to serve alongside Living Room in Kenya - whether that was 10 years ago or just last week. God continues to move through His people in this place. Our vision remains: To create a community of compassion that honors life and offers hope. Today at Kimbilio Hospice in Kipkaren, we have the privilege of caring for 26 guests: 11 men, 8 women, and 7 children.

As we continue to care for hundreds of guests every year at Kimbilio Hospice and are now beginning to care for guests at our newly opened facility in Eldoret, we are in need of new bedding. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The Riverside County 2019 Homeless Youth Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, is fast approaching. Our partner, Operation SafeHouse will assist in conducting a multi-day street youth count beginning January 29th through January 31, 2019, between the hours of 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day.
During the three day count, volunteers will be out in the community engaging and surveying homeless youth they encounter.
The PIT count and survey is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to: Identify how many youth ages 24 and under who are homeless in Riverside County; Determine the need for youth homeless services; and guide decisions about how to use available resources.
If you, or someone you know, would like to participate in either of the days, please respond below. This is open to any youth-friendly individuals, college groups or clubs. Thank you!

Today, at our Home for the Holidays event, 120 bookmarks were colored for the men at CRC, Norco.
VPC has been blessed to partner with this facility for about a year now. Next week, we get to go in and put on a "Hope" event where we will freely share the love of Jesus in this season, and also gift the men with a bookmark and Bible.
It's not by accident that VPC rests at the epicenter of 3 state institutions. Would you take a moment to pray for the men and women within our reach??

This event took place about a month ago, but it's still worth celebrating!
On September 29, 8 VPCers were part of a "Hope" event at CIW. The pictures aren't great, but what transpired that day was incredible:
200 women were present. They heard a message of HOPE. They were invited into a time of worship. They were able to receive prayer.
We pray they saw the hope of Jesus clearly that morning. We sure did...

Update #3, East Asia team:

“This weekend was full of exploring and learning. We went to a local museum and learned about the history and culture. We also went on a hike and spent the day with students and other professors. Our time is winding down here and so we are trying to take advantage of all the time we have with students. We miss all of you and can’t wait to tell you all about what the Father is doing!"

East Asia update #2:
"Hi all! We can’t believe a week has already passed. We have loved our time here in Asia. We have had really great opportunities to speak with some field workers who have committed their lives to sharing the Good News (not pictured for safety reasons)! We have been encouraged by their faith and obedience to GO when and wherever. We have also been working on building the relationships with students. We are now past the easy questions, “Where are you from? What’s your favorite food? Where’s the restroom?”, and will hopefully be able to have deeper and more intentional conversations. Friday night we were able to have dinner with a group of students and share why we were here: because there is someone who can bring joy, peace and hope! They were all pretty receptive. Please pray that there would be more opportunities for conversations and for our activities next week."
