I’m the new kid on the block in this Pastoral role. I get it…we’re supposed to “stay in our lane”, “Pastor your own church”, “ignore what you hear about other churches/pastors”…I get it and maybe its a rule that I should follow but I’m choosing not to. Someone needs to say something!
The church cannot continue to be a place of abuse, manipulation and self serving gain. Leaders of integrity cannot continue to stand idly by while seeing the abuse and injustice happen and we “stay in our lane”, “Pastor your own church”, “ignore what you hear about other churches/pastors”.
At some point we have to protect/stand up for/speak up with the people who are suffering in a place that was made for healing. I’m tired of having to get calls, see lives, read statuses and hear stories of people who have been victimized by people who are in the Pulpit with no accountability because for some reason the church is the only place where leaders aren’t held accountable as if their untouchable!
“Cahlyn, you right but this shouldn’t come from you!” You’re right…it shouldn’t be coming from me…but the leaders who SHOULD be speaking aren’t! So how long am I supposed to be silent? How long are you going to silent? When are we going to stand up say “Not in our churches”?
Maybe the leaders who SHOULD be speaking up aren’t because of the skeletons in their own closet. Maybe the leaders who SHOULD be speaking up aren’t because their current involvement in the same activities. Maybe the leaders who SHOULD be speaking up aren’t because they don’t want to upset the status quo’s…I don’t know, and the people we are supposed to be praying for and spiritually protecting can’t afford for people like me to care! Someone needs to say something!
The Church is suffering because of ni**as that preaches selfishness, uses God to push their corrupt behavior and manipulate people to only serve their own agenda! Then we sit back and try to hush the person crying, the person lashing out, the person who needs help and we lie to them saying “we can take care of this offline”! This needs to stop!
There’s no perfect church, there’s no perfect leader. There is however a righteous church who are led by righteous people who are predators, who aren’t wolves in sheep’s clothing.
I’m not perfect by far, but there’s a line I’ll never cross! God will not kill me for messing around with HIS people. Judgement is coming, and I won’t be crying when it knocks on some of your doors!
Don’t call me to preach at your church if you’re not prepared to hear Holiness from the Pulipt 1st then to the pew. It’s time out for only holding ppl accountable when they don’t do what the leader says! It’s time to get back to a Jesus Centered Church and NOT a Pastor Centered house of Wh**es.
Don’t look for me to pray for you while you’re in your mess…if you did it confess it but if you try to hide it…I can’t do nothing for you.
To all of the victims…I pray that you don’t shut on the church because There are churches who has leadership that PRAYS for and not PREYS on. There’s a church that is a safe place! There’s a church that is a place of healing! Ask God to send you to the church of Safety and Healing.
I’m praying for you all. Seriously!
