This is not just about giving things up or some religious performance, this is spiritual formation.

We are following the One who has already gone ahead…

As we stand at the threshold of the Lenten Season Transfiguration Sunday reminds us:

Jesus is not merely a prophet.
Not merely a miracle worker.

He is the beloved Son, radiant with glory.
“God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God”

And the Father still says,
“Listen to Him.”

May we descend the mountain changed.
