Heritage Day Food Preparation│ The Inside Food is the heart and soul of the Heritage Day experience and the foundation upon which the festival was built. For nearly five decades, more than five generations of cooks, volunteers, and families have dedicated countless hours to preserving the authentic Lebanese recipes and traditions that have made Heritage Day a beloved tradition.
These men and women are the true backbone of the festival. Long before the gates open each year, they begin preparing the dishes that thousands of visitors travel from near and far to enjoy. Many learned these recipes from their parents and grandparents, who in turn learned them from the generations before them. Through their dedication, passion, and commitment to preserving Lebanese culture, they have ensured that Heritage Day remains one of the region's premier cultural festivals.
Without their tireless efforts and decades of service, Heritage Day would not be the success it is today. Every plate served represents not only a delicious meal but also a legacy of family, faith, sacrifice, and tradition that has been carefully preserved and passed down through generations.
Guests can enjoy a full menu of traditional Lebanese favorites, including Raw Kibbee, Chicken & Rice, Baked Kibbee, Stuffed Cabbage, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Baked Macaroni, Hummus, Tabbouli, and Salad. Each dish is prepared with the same care, authenticity, and recipes that have made Heritage Day famous for generations.
The food is a living testament to the generations of volunteers whose love, hard work, and dedication have transformed the festival into one of Easton's most cherished annual traditions.
