Today is Ash Wednesday; the beginning of Lent. A 40 day journey to Easter. We are reminded that "You were made from dust and you will return to dust" Genesis3:19
We begin this day by remembering it is not what we do or don't do-but by accepting what God has done for us. We are not able to help ourselves, so God said, Let me do it.
"But when the time was right,God sent His Son ,born of a woman, born under the Law, that He might redeem those who were made under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters." Galatians 4:4-5.
Accept this gift through faith, God's gift to us, Jesus Christ.
Remember Christ paid a the huge price to redeem us.It is done.
Lord, thank you for giving me what I never deserved--grace!Thank you for Your mercy. Thank you for sending Jesus.
Praying in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Ps 42:1-2
"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?"
This Advent season is a time of longing, seeking, and waiting for God. Our world seems like it is becoming more evil, more godless everyday.War, hunger, poverty, and death. Christ came to free us, to replace our fears with Himself--the Prince of Peace.
Charles Wesley wrote: Come. thou long expected Jesus, born to set Thy people free; from our fears and sins release us let us find our rest in Thee. Born Thy people to deliver, born a child and yet a King. Born to reign in us forever, now Thy gracious Kingdom bring.
"For you, Bethlehem...out of you will come one who will be ruler over Israel." Micah 5:2
Father,
Thank you for Jesus. Amen.

Good morning! Can I tell you some good news?
Isaiah 7:14, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." (God with us.)
During this first week of Advent we ask God for the spirit of longing- longing for His presence in our lives. Le't not rush through Christmas, let us slow down and focus on getting ready to receive Jesus--the Hope of the World.

Good morning my friends!
The book of Hebrews tells us God has spoken to our ancestors through the prophets many ways and many times.
Isaiah was one of those prophets. God gives people this hope.
Isaiah 9: 2,6-7
"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light, those living in the land of great darkness a light has dawned.
For to us a child is born ,to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace will be no end..."
Wake up to the Light. Jesus Christ. Let Him shine on you.
Thank you Father for the Light. Amen.

Good morning brothers and sisters! Wake-up Christ is coming.Today begins our Advent Season. Four Sundays of celebrating Hope,Peace, Love, and Joy as we wait for the birth
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Today our theme is Hope. The prophet Isaiah says a time is coming 60:1-3" Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising."
Wake-up sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
The time is now. Christ is closer than you can imagine.
May you live in hope daily.
