Christianity can be confusing, but the way of Jesus was pretty clear:
Move toward the poor
Empower the woman
Create space at the table
Throw parties
Widen the family boundaries
Poke holes in oppressive systems
Don't retaliate with violence
Forgive your enemy
Don't store up wealth
Be present with people
Heal
Announce
Push back darkness
The Kingdom of God is near

FREE PUMPKINS!
Located at Roslyn Rd and E Williston Ave (Hillside Ave). We have big pumpkins, little pumpkins, orange pumpkins, white pumpkins, gourds. You can use them for Thanksgiving decorations. You can feed them to livestock (or chickens). You could probably compost them. You can definitely cook them: bake whole in the oven at 400 for about an hour. Stab a few times with a knife first, and place on a cookie sheet. The pumpkin is done when the outside is shiny and it's very easy to pierce with a knife. Once baked, and cooled, it's easy to peel and remove the seeds. Puree in a food processor or blender and use in pie, soup, dips, dog food...the possibilities are endless.
