Christian Community Church of East Williamson

Christian Community Church of East Williamson WHO WE ARE:
We are a local expression of the Body of Christ and we incorporate these values into the life of our community. WE ARE W.I.R.E.D.

Our purpose for being here is so that the power of the Holy Spirit might freely flow in and through us: equipping us to live victoriously, affecting those we come in contact with, and glorifying God. As God’s beloved children, we devote ourselves to knowing Him better, experiencing continual spiritual renewal, and loving one another even as He loves us. WITH POWER - We are committed to relying on

the power of the Holy Spirit. To the degree we are WIRED in connection with Him we move in His power.

• WORSHIP - We believe we are meant to bring God the honor and glory He deserves through the way we live our lives. We are committed to lifestyles of worship.

• INVOLVEMENT - We believe every Christian is called to participate in the life of the church. Like the parts that make up our natural body, we all have important functions. We are committed to regular, ongoing involvement.

• RELATIONSHIPS - We believe God, as three persons in One, exists in community. As disciples of Jesus, our relationships reflect His sacrificial love and His model of community. We are committed Small Groups as we grow in our understanding of God and others.

• EVANGELISM - We believe God’s plan has always been for all nations, every people group, near and far, to know His love. We are committed to seeking opportunities to share His love and truth with others.

• DISCIPLESHIP - We believe change is inevitable but growth is intentional. We are committed to spiritual parenting and mentoring “…until we will be mature and full grown in the Lord,” (Ephesians 4:13, NLT). OUR PURPOSE:
CCC exists to establish and maintain a place of Christian worship, fellowship and training: A place for worship of Almighty God, our Heavenly Father; to provide for Christian fellowship for those of like precious faith, where the Holy Spirit may be honored according to our distinctive testimony; and to assume our share of the responsibility and privilege of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, using all available means, both at home and in foreign lands.

Coming up:

On Saturday, December 13th, is the annual Sodus Christmas Parade. Pastor Tony will be driving the sign truck, and volunteers will be walking the route to hand out tracts, candy canes, and invitations to our Christmas Eve service. The parade begins at 5:00. If you'd like to volunteer to help out, please contact Pastor Tony.

(If you would like to help assemble the packets (tract, candy cane, invitation), we are meeting at the church this week. Contact Amy or Melanie for day and time.)

On Sunday, December 14th, is the annual Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner. It will begin around 1:30 p.m.

If you signed up to bring something, please remember to bring it! If you need a reminder of what it was, please contact Amy or Melanie (who just send out an email reminder).

The Christmas Eve service will be held on, of course, December 24th at 7:00 p.m. Feel free to join us! :)

This next Sunday, September 8th:

We will resume Sunday School at 10 a.m.

And, at the same time as Sunday School (10 a.m.), there will be a membership class for those of you interested in becoming a CCC member. (There is no obligation to join afterwards, but this gives you an opportunity to hear what CCC is all about and ask questions of Pastor Tony and Gordon, both of whom will be leading the class.) Once the class is completed (possibly 4 weeks' worth, depending on how quickly the material is gone through), if you do want to become a member, an "interview" will be scheduled, and at some point you will be introduced to the congregation as a new member. :) (And you will have voting privilege at our Annual Business Meeting at the end of January.)

And then NEXT Tuesday, September 10th, at 7:00 p.m., Men's Group will resume in Pastor Tony's office.

On Sunday, September 15th, after the service, the monthly board meeting will be held, followed by prayer. Feel free to join us!
