Twenty-five years ago today, amid the terror aboard United Flight 93, Todd Beamer turned to prayer.
While speaking by phone with Lisa Jefferson, he prayed the Lord’s Prayer and recited Psalm 23: “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
Then, together with his fellow passengers and crew members, he acted with extraordinary courage to prevent further loss of life. His final reported words became a lasting call to courage: “Are you ready? Okay. Let’s roll.”
Today, we remember Todd Beamer, all those aboard Flight 93, and every life lost on September 11, 2001. May their courage never be forgotten, and may God grant peace to their families and to our nation. 🇺🇸🙏

can you also emphasize in the post how todd's act saved countless lives? we catholics are all about sacrifice
Absolutely. I would emphasize that Todd’s courage was not merely heroic—it was sacrificial. I’d also acknowledge the other passengers and crew who acted with him:
