We give thanks for the uncommon goodness of Rebel, and pray for comfort for the Hart Family and every child in town who mourns her death.

Dear GOFI Family,
Today, our hearts are broken. Rebel, our very first Community Resource Dog and the pioneer of the GOFI CRD program, passed away after a tragic accident.
Alongside Officer Tommy Hart and the Walpole Police Department, Rebel didn’t do just a job—she changed lives. She brought comfort where there was pain, smiles where there were tears, and pure love to the entire Walpole community and beyond. She showed all of us exactly what GOFI is capable of doing.
We are deeply saddened, and our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Tommy and his family, the Walpole Police Department, and everyone who loved her.
Rebel paved the way. She proved that real dogs can solve real problems, and her legacy will live on in every single dog we train.
Thank you for standing with us, and with Tommy’s family, during this incredibly difficult time.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who have died in service of our country, and join in prayer with all who long to see an end to war. For Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be called Children of God.”
