Selective obedience can be deceptive. We can convince ourselves we're being faithful to God while quietly making exceptions to His instructions.

That’s what happened to Saul. God gave him specific instructions, but Saul chose which parts to follow and which parts to change. When confronted, he insisted he had obeyed. (1 Samuel 15:13–15)

Saul’s problem wasn’t that he did nothing God asked. It was that he decided some of God’s instructions were negotiable. Ouch. Have you ever done that?

Maybe we justify our choices because our intentions seem good. Perhaps we obey where it’s comfortable but resist where obedience requires surrender, change, or admitting we’re wrong.

The danger of self-denial is that we can become so convinced we're right that we fail to recognize where we're wrong. God isn't asking us to edit His instructions to fit our preferences. He's inviting us to trust Him enough to obey—even when it's uncomfortable.

BREAKTHROUGH begins when we stop defending our exceptions and start examining our hearts. Take a moment to ask yourself: Am I obeying God fully, or have I made exceptions that I've convinced myself are acceptable?

✨ DAY TWO at Activ8Her Live!

What a powerful way to close out our time together! 🤍

Dr. Brandi Ginty taught us about the different ways we can hear God’s voice and reminded us that He desires to speak to each of us. Barb Knight led us through a listening prayer, and Trish OKay shared a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Chrissy reminded us to celebrate before launching into a new season - to pause, recognize what God has done, and celebrate His faithfulness before rushing into what’s next.

And to close our time together, Kolleen led us in releasing empty words and receiving the Living Word. A beautiful reminder to let go of the voices, lies, and distractions that don’t bring life and make room for the truth of God’s Word to fill us.

Our hearts are so full seeing women grow in hearing God’s voice, receiving His truth, and learning to walk confidently in His presence.

As we leave this weekend, may we continue to listen for His voice, celebrate His faithfulness, and allow His Word to shape the way we live and lead.

We don’t leave this weekend empty. We leave filled with His truth, ready for what He has next. 💛

✨ NIGHT ONE at Activ8Her Live!

Tonight, Dr. Brandi Ginty reminded us of a powerful truth: we have to be filled before we can pour out. 🤍

As women called to lead, serve, and pour into others, we can’t forget where our strength comes from. Before we lead others, we must first allow God to lead us. Before we pour out, we must be filled by Him. And before we feed the needs of everyone around us, we must first feast on the Word of God. 📖

We can’t lead from an empty cup. Let’s make time to sit at His feet, receive His truth, and be nourished by His presence.

The best thing we can bring to our leadership is a heart that has first been filled by Him. 🫶

See you tomorrow!!!
