Good afternoon: today is “Good Friday”, a time to reflect on JESUS, the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. It is time to sincerely reflect on our lives and assess our lives and beliefs; to affirm if our lives are worthy of the JESUS’ sacrifice.

Do we believe in Jesus; are we reborn in HIS words; are we willing to follow and abide by HIS commandments; are we HIS disciples, in today’s world?

Consider one of Jesus’ last sayings, “forgive them father for they know not what they do.”

Today, we have a better understanding of GOD’s word, thru Jesus’ teachings; yet, we must still ask forgiveness of and for our many transgressions as imperfect beings living in this world.

As terrible as GOOD FRIDAY was, because of the suffering and death of JESUS, it marked the dramatic culmination of GOD’s Plan to save his people from their sins.

Let’s remember the sacrifice that occurred today, and rejoice in the “good news” that on the third day, this Sunday, JESUS arose!

GOOD FRIDAY is the day when wrath and mercy met at the cross. Thus the reason that it is so dark; yet so GOOD.
