Saturday 25 of us went over to the Hiawassee River and took a little rafting trip. The weather was beautiful and the fellowship was good. I think we got a picture of each boat with the exception of the one with Micah and his three friends. Thanks Ric and Tara for organizing the trip. (unfortunately Tara was not able to make it because she was very sick that day. Get well soon, Tara.)

TOMORROW is the big day: HOMECOMING 2026. Don't miss our special day as we celebrate 103 years of serving the Lord. Bro. Doug Ramage will sing and preach. We'll have a wonderful meal afterwards in the fellowship hall (bring a covered dish if you can; if not come anyway as we always have plenty). It well be a grand time. Come join us and bring someone else along too!

HOMECOMING 2026!!! Sunday is the day. We will be celebrating 103 years of Edgewood Baptist Church. We're always excited when homecoming roles around. We always have a great day planned and this year is no exception. We've invited Evangelist Doug Ramage to be with us for the day. He's been before and our folks love him. He'll sing and preach (and play that piano). We'll have "dinner on the grounds" afterwards. The church supplies the meat and everything else is "potluck". Come one, come all. Invite former members, friends, family and neighbors. It's homecoming time! Everything begins at 10:30. No Sunday school or evening service - just one big morning celebration.

Last night at church was very special. We celebrated the 90th birthday of Bob and Zelma Hinkle. Zelma turned 90 back in May. Bob turns 90 on this coming Wednesday. They do not get out much anymore, but they made a special effort to come to church so we could salute and honor them. Bob and Zelma, we love you and wish you both the happiest of birthdays!
