The Helen Stark Dream Project

The Helen Stark Dream Project An after school program for East Point children who are learning English as a second language. Currently we have 14 children in grades 2-9

The Dream Project was created for children in the East Point area learning English as a second language. Our target is to get these kids the academic assistance that they are unable to receive at home due to the language barrier. We also expose them to as many things as possible including art, sports, piano, science experiments, music, nature, and whatever else we come up with. We are hosted by Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church and local sponsors.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

After over 13 amazing years of serving our mission, we’ve made the difficult decision to bring the Helen Stark Dream Project to a close. This journey has been incredible, filled with countless moments of growth, community, and compassion. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we know it’s time to move on to new adventures and opportunities.

We are so grateful for the support, love, and encouragement you’ve shown us along the way. The impact we’ve made together will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference. Here’s to new beginnings and continuing to dream big in all we do!

With gratitude,
The Dream Project Team

First update here in a LONG time!
We have decided to go back to our original name, The Helen Stark Dream Project and we have a NEW way of assisting the kids now.
In my personal life things have turned upside down. My grandmother passed earlier this year, husbands father sadly passed away recently, and we have moved to Winder Ga. Being so far away has kept us from being able to do things with the kids however we found a way to get some of their needs met. We have them sending their school supply order to US and we have it amazoned to them. They love it. We love it. It's working well.
We also ordered a lot of supplies for the local schools. We took donations to: Tri Cities HS, the Unidos Center in TCHS, Paul D West Middle, and Parklane Elementary.
Also, we have a new worker, Jessie, who has handled our finances for us the last few months and she's AMAZING. :)
Finally, I want to send another huge THANK YOU to TRI CITIES CHURCH. They have supported in such a massive way that we were able to meet so many needs of teachers and studensts in the East Point area and STILL have more we can do as the school year begins.
Thanks to everyone who has kept us all in your thoughts and prayers.
love to all!
