Campus Edge was born from a conversation at River Terrace Church in 2008. A group of graduate students, faculty, and others began to discuss the unique challenges of academic life here at Michigan State University. As the conversation developed, God gave this group a vision for a ministry of support and outreach to the graduate students, faculty, and staff of MSU. The faith of this group asserted
that there is not one square inch of creation which is not claimed by Jesus Christ's lordship. There is no field of inquiry too 'secular' or question of reality too outrageous to be considered within the framework of faith. Campus Edge seeks to bring together people who take both their profession and faith seriously. At its core, Campus Edge remains committed to a vision of being a welcoming community where believers, skeptics, and doubters wrestle with some of life's biggest questions.
