There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

Fear is often linked to the anticipation of punishment. In Christ, believers are freed from the fear of judgment because of the assurance of salvation. Believers are called to confront and overcome fear by deepening their understanding and experience of God's love.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

The Greek word for "anxious" (merimnao) implies being pulled in different directions. As Christians, we are called to focus our minds and hearts on God rather than being torn by worries. I thought of the Stretch Armstrong toy. Even though it can be pulled in many directions, it always comes back into shape. I want Jesus to help me handle the stresses in my life and bounce back into the shape He wants me to be in.

This week we are having Sandwiches for dinner starting at 6:00pm followed by worship and a lesson on how to do our Spiritual Inventories.

CR Leader Training is this Sunday from 1-3:30pm. Everybody is welcome. Like I always say, “everybody’s a leader you’re either leading people the wrong way or you’re leading in the right way”

May Jesus equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Self-examination is part of Principle 7 and Step 10 of the program of Celebrate Recovery. In simple terms this step is about checking in with yourself daily. Think of it like a quick tune-up for your emotional and spiritual health.

This week Chauntel is giving her testimony of how Jesus is changing her life today! We are having Arroz Con Pollo for dinner starting at 6:00pm, followed by worship and her testimony at 7:00pm.

Together you are the body of Christ. Each one of you is part of his body. If one part of our body hurts, we hurt all over. If one part of our body is honored, the whole body will be happy. 1 Corinthians 12:26-27

When one member is honored, the whole body rejoices. This teaches believers to celebrate each other's successes and support one another in times of need. The call to suffer and rejoice together is a practical expression of love, requiring action and involvement in the lives of others within our CR family.

In Celebrate Recovery (CR), chips and coins are tangible tokens used to mark milestones, celebrate recovery progress, and represent surrender to Jesus Christ. They serve as visible reminders of God's grace, the participant's dedication to sobriety, and the support of the community.
This week we are having spaghetti, meatballs, garlic bread, and salad for dinner. Come at 6:00pm for the food and fellowship followed by worship and open share groups at 7:00pm.

When you don’t know who you are, the Bible points you to an identity found in Christ—not in your past or your emotions. Key verses to reflect on include 2 Corinthians 5:17 (you are a new creation), Ephesians 2:10 (you are God’s workmanship), and 1 John 3:1 (you are a child of God). It’s crucial to hide God’s Word in your heart so that, when the enemy’s lying whispers attack, you can refute them with the truth. As a believer in Christ, my true identity never changes—only my acknowledgement of it.

If you don’t know what to do—or when to do it—ask Jesus. I invite you to come this Friday night to Celebrate Recovery and join a bunch of “me too” people who want to discover their true identity in Christ. Dinner starts at 6:00pm, followed by worship and a testimony of a changed life through the fellowship of Celebrate Recovery. This week we’re having loaded baked potatoes, cornbread, and chili. ,

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8

What a powerful reminder that no matter how broken or rough around the edges we may feel, God is still shaping us with purpose and love. Our hurts, habits, and hang-ups don’t define us—His hands do.

Join us as we come together to share, grow, and allow the Master Potter to continue molding our hearts and lives. There’s hope in His process and beauty in His timing. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM. We are having homemade macaroni and cheese this week with worship, teaching, and open share groups that follow. All are welcome—come as you are and let God do the shaping!

This week, men who have completed the Step Study will share brief “Minimonies” about how the 8 Principles and 12 Steps have impacted their lives. The 25-week commitment of study, homework, and self-reflection is challenging—but the results are worth it. Come hear what they’ve learned and how a Step Study can help you too.
Dinner starts at 6:00pm with BBQ Hamburgers, chili, and coleslaw. Followed by worship and open share groups.
