As we celebrate the Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, we are reminded that God often works quietly and patiently in our lives. Like a small seed that grows into something far greater, His grace takes root in us and brings new life in ways we may not always see right away.

Join us as we come together in prayer, listen to God’s Word, and are strengthened at the Table of the Lord.

Did you know this record “In the Still of the Night” by The Five Satins which is featured in the Lost in New Haven Museum display was recorded here in New Haven at St. Bernadette Church?

It was made possible because the group needed a space to record and perform, and the church basement became the place where that iconic sound came together in 1956. What started as a simple local recording session ended up becoming one of the most recognizable songs of early rock and roll.

A reminder that even places within our parish history have played a role in shaping culture far beyond New Haven.

As we begin this weekend, we come together as one parish family—three churches, one faith, one mission.

St. Bernadette, St. Vincent de Paul, and Our Lady of Pompeii distinct in place, united in Christ, and under the patronage of St. Pio of Pietrelcina.

On this Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, we are reminded that God’s work often grows quietly among us:

“The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed… once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants.” — Mark 4:31–32

May this weekend be a reminder that even the smallest acts of faith, love, and service are part of something far greater in God’s plan for our parish and our lives.

We invite you to join us for Mass this weekend at any of our three churches.

As we close out the feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we turn our hearts in prayer at Our Lady of Pompeii Church.

A gentle reminder of Christ’s boundless love—steadfast, merciful, and always open to us, no matter the week we’ve had.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” — Jeremiah 31:3

May this weekend bring you peace, healing, and rest in His Sacred Heart.

We invite you to join us for Mass this weekend at any of our three churches.

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a beautiful reminder of Christ’s infinite love and mercy for all of us.

The Sacred Heart symbolizes Jesus’ compassion, His sacrifice, and His constant invitation to draw closer to Him. No matter where we are in our faith journey, His heart remains open to us with forgiveness, hope, and peace.

On this special feast day, let us take a moment to entrust our families, our parish, and our community to the loving Heart of Jesus, praying that we may grow in faith and share His love with those around us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Each day of the week, the Church invites us to reflect on different Mysteries of the Rosary, helping us meditate on the life of Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Monday & Saturday – Joyful Mysteries
These mysteries celebrate the joyful events surrounding Christ’s birth, including the Annunciation, the Nativity, and the Finding of Jesus in the Temple. They remind us of God’s gift of salvation entering the world.

Tuesday & Friday – Sorrowful Mysteries
The Sorrowful Mysteries lead us through Christ’s Passion, from His Agony in the Garden to His Crucifixion. They call us to reflect on His sacrifice and the immeasurable depth of God’s love.

Wednesday & Sunday – Glorious Mysteries
These mysteries celebrate Christ’s victory over death through His Resurrection and Ascension, as well as the coming of the Holy Spirit and the glory of Our Blessed Mother. They fill us with hope in the promise of eternal life.

Thursday – Luminous Mysteries
Added by St. John Paul II, the Luminous Mysteries focus on Jesus’ public ministry, including His Baptism, the Wedding at Cana, the Proclamation of the Kingdom, the Transfiguration, and the Institution of the Eucharist. They reveal Christ as the Light of the World.

No matter the day, the Rosary is a beautiful way to grow closer to Christ through the loving guidance of His Blessed Mother. We invite you to join us in prayer as we meditate on these sacred mysteries together.

Wednesday Mass - Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

We gather today in the middle of our week to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and continue our journey through Ordinary Time. As we listen to God’s Word and share in the Eucharist, we are reminded of His constant presence in our daily lives and His call to live with faith, hope, and love.

Let this celebration be a moment of peace and renewal as we offer our intentions, our struggles, and our gratitude to the Lord.
