Members of the Order of Malta (knights, dames, associates and volunteers), Communion & Liberation and dear friends came together to prepare a nutritious, scrumptious meal for 100 and sandwich bags for New Haven’s Amistad Catholic Worker House. Our little community coalesced to serve God’s people with great joy.

On this Feast of the Holy Trinity we pray for justice, unity and peace in our suffering world.

"Our being created in the image and likeness of God-Communion calls us to understand ourselves as beings-in-relationship and to live interpersonal relations in solidarity and mutual love. The Feast of the Most Holy Trinity invites us to commit ourselves in daily events to being a leaven of communion, consolation and mercy." (Pope Francis)

Today we had an Order of Malta Day of Faith and Fellowship at St Catherine of Siena Church(West Simsbury) with The Federal Association, the Order of Malta - Connecticut North East Area and the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (Eohsj Eastern Lieutenancy).

Mass was celebrated by Fr Michael Whyte, an Order of Malta chaplain and pastor of the church where we met. We also shared a delicious lunch and good conversation.

The Defense of the Faith Lecture, “Keeping Christianity Alive in the Place Where Jesus Born,” was delivered by Michèle Burke Bowe, Order of Malta Ambassador to Palestine and President of Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation

I am always amazed at the good work we do for those in need, especially vulnerable pregnant women and newborns. The Hospital is doing extraordinary work in exceptionally difficult circumstances.

Blessed Gerard Sasso, pray for us.
Saint Mariam Baouardy, pray for us.
