Sacred Heart Catholic Church - East Grand Forks Sacred Heart Church is a 1200 family Roman Catholic Parish located in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Sacred Heart Catholic Parish was started in 1893.

East Grand Forks is located in northwest Minnesota along the border of North Dakota and the Red River of the North. It also has a school, Sacred Heart School, which started in 1912. Sacred Heart School is a daycare, pre-school, elementary, and high school program.

Not even the rain could stop the fun! ☀️🌧️ Thank you to all our 6th–12th graders who came out to Lincoln Park tonight for yard games, beach volleyball, and ice cream truck treats. A special thank you to Brain Freeze for making a visit!

Thanks also to our amazing volunteers and leaders who helped make the evening happen. This is just the start of a great summer with our youth group community. We’ll see you for Schtick in July!

Sacred Heart Parish invites all youth entering grades 7-12 in the fall of 2026 to register for a week of powerful experiences at Totus Tuus, July 19-23!

The evenings start at 6:00 p.m. with dinner. Dinner is followed by prayer, talks, and many other fun activities ending at 8:15 p.m. These evenings will be led by Totus Tuus missionaries, college age men and women who are called to share their faith and help others encounter Jesus.

Come celebrate with us on Sunday, June 7th at 10 a.m. as we celebrate Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, and bring Jesus into the heart of our community!

We'll begin with Mass together, then step out as missionary disciples in a joyful procession through downtown East Grand Forks. Afterward, we'll gather for a light lunch and fellowship.

This is our chance to bring Christ to the streets and share our faith with our neighbors. We can't wait to see you there!

Calling all quilters and sewists! The Nazareth Retreat House is seeking donated quilts to help create a warm and welcoming space for our retreat guests. We are in need of approximately 30 Twin XL quilts (70x95) and 2 Queen quilts (90x108).

June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Next week on June 11, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence, U.S. bishops will consecrate our nation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Starting tomorrow on June 3rd, we invite you to join the rest of the U.S. Church in praying a nine-day novena to the Sacred Heart, leading up to the consecration of our country.
