What a blessing it was tonight at Brewton Baptist Church! Great fellowship, and a church full of great people.

A special thank you to the Brantley Family for coming and sharing their God-given talents with us. The music was amazing, and we were truly blessed by your ministry.

Also, a BIG thank you to everyone who cooked, worked in the kitchen, brought food, helped set up, cleaned up, and did all the things behind the scenes that made tonight possible. Your hard work and servant hearts do not go unnoticed!

Most of all, thank you, Lord, for the sweet fellowship. There’s just something special about God’s people coming together, sharing a meal, singing about Jesus, laughing, and enjoying one another.

I’m thankful for our church family and everyone from our community who came and joined us tonight. God is good.

Today we had the honor of baptizing Lee Moorman. What a special day as Lee publicly rededicated his faith in Jesus through baptism.

One of the things Lee said was, “I am now part of the family.”

As a church, we rejoice with Lee and celebrate what God has done in his life.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39

Join us in praying for Lee as he continues to grow in his walk with Christ.

Good Morning from Juan Dolio Dominican Republic.

Yesterday, we traveled to a village called Cicei, where we met with around 100 students at a church school. The pastor there has a wonderful ministry in the community. Much of the area surrounding the village is a trash dump where many of the students and their families live.

We were blessed to conduct another VBS with the children, share the Gospel, and spend time touring the community where they live. It was both humbling and encouraging to see the work God is doing through this local church.

After leaving Cicei, we visited a girls’ orphanage. We had the opportunity to hear from the woman who founded and operates the ministry. Our team was able to interact with the girls by playing games, talking with them, and simply sharing the love of Christ.

Today, Friday, June 12, we begin our journey back to the United States. Before heading to the airport, we will stop in a small village near SCORE to meet with a pastor, share testimonies, encourage the church, and spend time with the children.

So if you had to ask the team one question what would it be?

Thank you for your continued prayers throughout this week. Please pray for safe travels home and that the seeds of the Gospel that have been planted will continue to grow and bear fruit for God’s glory.

Hello Brewton Baptist Church family,

I wanted to take a few minutes to give you an update on our mission trip to the Dominican Republic and to thank you for your prayers and support.

We flew into Santo Domingo on Sunday and arrived safely at SCORE International headquarters. After getting settled in and resting for the evening, we left early Monday morning at 6:00 a.m. for Constanza, which is about a four-hour drive up into the mountains.

As soon as we arrived, we began ministry at a local church. We quickly learned that the pastor had a need at the church. Their well pump needed repairs so they could have water available at the church. The repair was going to cost about 8,500 pesos, which is around $155 U.S. dollars. Because of the money raised through our Vacation Bible School mission offering, we were able to help meet that need. The pastor also needed better chairs for the church, so we were able to provide additional funds for that as well. In total, we gave $300 to help strengthen that local church and support their ministry.

Over the next two days, we traveled to several churches in the mountains around Constanza. We were able to distribute solar-powered Bibles and solar lanterns to people who have little or no access to electricity. It was amazing to see how eager they were to receive God’s Word and hear the Gospel.

At every village church we visited, children would begin filling the church as soon as they heard the Americans had arrived. We were able to spend time playing games, doing crafts, sharing Bible stories, giving our testimonies, and presenting the Gospel. We also distributed food bags to families in need throughout the villages.

Yesterday (Wednesday, June 10) we made the trip back from Constanza to SCORE headquarters in Juan Dolio. It took most of the day, but we enjoyed some time together, stopped for lunch, and had an opportunity to see more of the country before arriving back here this afternoon.

Tonight, we have enjoyed supper together and are preparing for our evening Bible study and testimony time as we reflect on all that God has done so far.

Thank you again for your prayers, your encouragement, and your generosity. God is opening doors, lives are being touched, and seeds of the Gospel are being planted. Please continue to pray for our team, for strength and safety, and most importantly that people will come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We love you, and we look forward to sharing even more when we return home. God bless.
