And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
John 14:3

We Started off with a brain break as the kids trickled in. Then we played our actual game of stacking cups While keeping a balloon in the air. Later we switched it up to a stacking game. We went over the rules and guidelines. Thank you Emeri who led that for us. We also got our praise and worship on and a BIG thank you to those that came up to lead in worship! We went to our respective classrooms and learned about Jesus and ate a delicious breakfast!

Kids Konnect 1st-3rd grade

We started by sharing our “highs, lows, and buffaloes.” The kids got to talk about something good that happened during their week, something that maybe wasn’t so good, and then a “buffalo” something funny or silly that happened. A lot of kids like to show off their mom or dad jokes! It’s such a cool way for everyone to open up, laugh together, and learn that God cares about every part of our lives, both the happy moments and the hard ones.
After that, we talked about what Heaven is going to be like and how the Bible tells us there will one day be a new Heaven and a new Earth. We talked about how amazing it will be to live with Jesus forever, where there will be no sadness, pain, or fear anymore. The kids shared what they thought Heaven might look like, and it led to some really sweet and thoughtful conversations.
For our art activity, the kids cut out pictures of furniture and different household items and glued them onto paper to create their own rooms and homes. We connected it back to how Jesus is preparing a place for us and how Heaven will be more wonderful than anything we could ever imagine here on earth. It was a simple but meaningful way for the kids to use their creativity while thinking about the promises God has for us.

Upper Elementary 4th and 5th grade

Today we focused on John 14:3 and spent time learning how important it is to walk with Jesus every day. We made a fun maze activity where the kids had to walk through it blindfolded. As they tried to make their way through, they bumped into objects and quickly realized how difficult it can be to walk through life without guidance.
The second time through the maze, we helped guide them along the way to show how much easier life can be when we allow God to lead us and stay by our side. The kids had so much fun, but it was also a great reminder that Jesus helps direct our steps, protects us, and never leaves us alone.
We also enjoyed a yummy breakfast together with sausage, gravy, biscuits, and milk while spending time together growing in Jesus!

We started off with a little brain break before church. We moved into a a fun stacking game! Each person got to place one cup at a time to build a pyramid, but before the next person could go, you had to smack their hand to tag them in. 🤣 It was such a fun way to kick off the morning!
We also went over rules and guidelines, spent some time in praise and worship and prayed over our breakfast then went our separate ways to class.

UPPER ELEMENTARY
We walked through Saul’s life before he became Paul. We talked about the passion he had for sharing the Gospel even when his living situation was not ideal. Like when he was in prison! The kids learned how one person can create a domino effect by bravely sharing their faith with others. To the Domino’s!!!! One hitting the other. Also on a sidenote, can you imagine how many crowns whoever got Benny Hinn saved will get in heaven LOL? We talked about how church may feel like the easiest place to share about Jesus, but we can also share our faith at school, sporting events, and in everyday life.

KINGS KIDS

Boy are we glad to have Ms Dotson back!!!

Today we learned about Paul the Apostle and how he was put in prison, but he still told people about Jesus. Paul loved Jesus so much that nothing could stop him from sharing the Good News! We talked about how Jesus breaks our chains, helps us when we are scared or sad, and gives us freedom and joy.
We had so much fun playing games, doing praise and worship, and learning together. We laughed, sang, and were reminded that we can tell others about Jesus everywhere we go—just like Paul did!

NURSERY
We got a little messy with some paint and made a special project for our moms to remind them they are our sunshine in everything we do and how much we love them!
We also snacked on Goldfish, played with Play-Doh, blew bubbles, and shared lots of laughs together.

Breakfast this morning was French toast sticks, gogurt, and leftover pastries! What a great way to start off Mother’s Day! Also we wanted to shout out all the moms who work tirelessly day and night. We see you! Whether you have biological children or not, if you are loving, guiding, encouraging, and pouring into the life of a child you’re a mom! Know that you are making a difference and that matters to a kid more than you know!

Sorry, I’m late. This is from Sunday May 3rd!!!

Love God, share why you believe, and be kind when you talk

1st Peter 3:15

We started by getting out some energy with a brain break. We always go over rules and guidelines. We always wanna make sure we’re on the same page for expectations. We are currently learning a new worship song with motions. Also, we are preparing for church camp this summer so we have to bring in some of the staples like “church clap” and “Jesus jump.” As a side note don’t forget to sign up for church camp! It’s life changing! We went to our separate classes and ate a very yummy breakfast! We had a pancake wrapped in sausage with hash browns, and crispy is grapes!!

Upper Elementary

We walked through 1 Peter 3:15 and talked about what it means to have hope in Jesus. We discussed how, as Christians, we should always be ready to share why we believe in Him and lovingly explain our faith to others. We focused on being kind, respectful, and bold when witnessing to people about Jesus.
To help the kids remember the lesson, we made “HOPE” bracelets as a reminder that our hope comes from Jesus and that we can share that hope with others. I also sent home a doodle page so they could continue thinking about the lesson and scripture throughout the week.

Kings Kids

In Kings Kids class learned about the story of Paul and Silas and their reaction after being beaten and thrown in Jail for doing the work of the Lord.
We had fun reenacting the story and the kids actually loved being “thrown” in jail! lol
We also learned that we can have joy even when things don’t go our own way because Jesus is always with us.
We talked more about signing and praising Jesus even when we are having a bad day!
Props to Mr. Tim for making us a really fun “jail” to play with to help us understand the story a little better!

We are nearing the end of the Fruits of the Spirit, and today we talked about gentleness and what better way to do that than toss around some eggs??? 🤣🤣

We talked about Jesus and the crucifixion…the quick version.
Jesus did nothing wrong. He loved people, healed them, and taught them about God. But some people were angry, jealous, and didn’t understand who He really was. A crowd gathered, and they were loud and mean. They shouted hurtful things at Jesus. Soldiers hurt Him and made Him carry a heavy cross.
Even though Jesus was in pain, He did not yell back or try to hurt anyone. Instead, Jesus chose to be gentle. When people were being mean, Jesus still spoke kind words. He even said, “Father, forgive them, because they don’t understand what they are doing.”
While He was on the cross, Jesus thought about others! He made sure His mother would be cared for. He showed love to a man next to Him who was sorry for his wrong choices. I mean, think about that…He is nailed to a cross in excruciating pain, probably hot, thirsty, miserable, and emotionally drained, and He’s thinking about other people??? Mind blown!
Jesus could have stopped everything, but He didn’t. He chose gentleness, love, and forgiveness.
We also talked about Luke 22:47–51:

“While Jesus was still speaking, a crowd of people came toward Him. Judas, one of the twelve apostles, led the crowd to that place. He came near to Jesus to kiss Him. Jesus said to him, Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?’ The people near Jesus saw what was happening. They asked Him, ‘Lord, should we use our swords to fight?’ One of them hit the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. But Jesus answered “That is enough!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.” WHAT??? How many of us would heal the person who is trying to hurt us? That’s tough!
We gave some scenarios and examples of ways to be kind and how to handle real life situations
Example:
If somebody bumps into you in the hallway or a sibling takes your toy. We had examples from the boys and girls, and let me tell you… the boys definitely gave some different examples 🤣
In the end, we learned that gentleness means handling people and things with care just like Jesus and the egg!
Also, we made a few things out of Play-Doh before class started, everyone was super proud and so was I!

Kings Kids Class had a great time on Easter Sunday! We started the morning off with a great breakfast! Shout out to the Millers for a yummy meal!
We had some time of praise and worship and then spent some time recapping the Easter story of Christ’s death and resurrection! Shout out to Mr. Tim for making us some cool props to help us visualize and understand the story a little easier.
We also had a little demonstration of what sin does to our hearts and how Jesus is able to wash it all away in an instant!
Also praising God for several of the students that asked Jesus into their hearts at the end of our sin demonstration!
Thank you parents for trusting and allowing us to teach and invest in your kiddos! It is such an honor to teach and pour into their young souls!🥰
The video is in the comments you can’t post pictures and videos at the same time and you can only post one video at a time lol!

We kicked off the day with a fun game and went over our rules and guidelines, then moved into a time of praise and worship together. After that, we split into our classrooms and walked through the story of the crucifixion with the kids such a powerful and meaningful time.

The kids also got to enjoy a creative art project, painting crosses, and we shared a delicious breakfast together. A huge thank you to the Miller family for preparing it—nine dozen scrambled eggs, biscuits, and sausage! You truly blessed everyone and absolutely nailed it.

We wrapped everything up back in the fellowship hall with more games (and yes… maybe even a little “Jesus Jump” fun! As church is creeping up on us!)

We are so grateful for our full classrooms and our incredible, hard working teachers. Easter is something we never take lightly, and every single teacher gave their all today. Every classroom was full Kids Konnect especially was packed! So grateful to have the extra space with the wall down and more tables and chairs.

The Spoyd families (Spring and Boyd 😂) worked together like a well oiled machine truly all hands on deck. Every teacher handled a full room with grace and excellence.

Thank you to each and every person who served today. Because of your faithfulness and commitment, 10 kids either gave their lives to God or rededicated their hearts to Him. What a great Easter!
