Game #2 of the season! 🏈

Thursday practice with the W.S. Neal football team, followed by an incredible Word from Pastor Andrew Sawyer and a delicious meal of mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried chicken, honey, hot sauce, and ketchup!

This is our fourth year doing this ministry, and we are thankful for every opportunity God gives us to pour into these young men. We know lives are being impacted, seeds are being planted, and God is doing something that goes far beyond football.

It’s a privilege to be a part of it! 🙌🏈

First Assembly of God loves reaching out into our community.

Today marked Day One of the fourth year of First Assembly of God’s outreach ministry to the W.S. Neal High School football team!

Every Thursday during football season, we have the privilege of meeting with the team following practice. Our Student Pastor, Andrew Sawyer, shares a challenging and encouraging message from the Word of God with these young men—and then we feed them a hot meal!

Today’s menu was fried chicken with hot sauce, honey, and ketchup, mashed potatoes and gravy, and macaroni and cheese.

We are so thankful for the opportunity God has given us to invest in these young men—not only by feeding them physically, but by sharing the Word of God and letting them know that their community and their church care about them.

We are also especially thankful for Convoy of Hope, who is partnering with us this year to help make this ministry possible.

We’re looking forward to another great football season of feeding bodies, encouraging hearts, and sharing Jesus!

Thank you church family to everyone who has done anything to help us be ready for Sunday. Cleaning, grass cutting, decorating, cooking, etc. you are all awesome!! Thanks to our staff who gave most of their Saturday to add the final touches. We have an awesome church family!

Happy Father’s Day!

Today we celebrate and honor all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, spiritual fathers, and father figures who faithfully love, lead, and invest in the lives of others.

Thank you for the example you set, the sacrifices you make, and the legacy of faith you leave behind. We pray God’s blessings, strength, and wisdom over you today and throughout the year.

What better way to celebrate freedom than by witnessing lives changed and made new? 🙌
