Great time today! It is important for us as ladies to have a moment of self care.
As women, we pour so much into others—our families, our communities, and our church. While this is a beautiful reflection of God’s love, we must also remember that self-care and self-management are not selfish; they are necessary. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and it is our responsibility to care for them.
Jesus Himself often withdrew to quiet places to pray and refresh (Luke 5:16). If our Lord, who carried the weight of the world, prioritized time for renewal, how much more should we? When we take care of ourselves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—we are better equipped to serve, love, and fulfill the purpose God has placed on our lives.
I encourage each of you to continue making self-care a priority:
1. Prioritize Time with God – Start your day with prayer and scripture to align your heart with His will.
2. Rest Without Guilt – Sleep and relaxation are necessary for a healthy mind and body.
3. Care for Your Body – Eat well, move often, and listen to what your body needs.
4. Set Healthy Boundaries – Protect your time and energy by learning when to step back and recharge.
5. Stay Connected – Surround yourself with sisters in Christ who encourage, uplift, and hold you accountable.
You are a treasure in the kingdom of God, and He desires for you to thrive, not just survive. Take care of yourself so you can continue to serve, love, and lead with strength and joy.
We missed some of our ladies who could not attend today! But will be ready for our next ministry fellowship!
