And to top it all off of our 2026 Congress, Friday was our Annual O.B. Brown & E.G. Williams Scholarship Banquet.

The O.B. Brown & E.G. Williams Scholarship Program of the Mt. Zion Lively Hope District Association is more than a scholarship—it’s a legacy of faith, education, and opportunity.

Each year, we invest in the dreams of our young people by providing support as they pursue higher education and prepare for their future careers.

Congratulations to our scholarship recipients and thank you to everyone who supports this important ministry!

Hospitality is important! But true southern Gospel hospitality has no clear definition. You can only see it to truly understand what it means. It’s not just words. It is action!

This week we experienced the action at the Zion Hill Baptist Church ⛪️ in Brookshire under the leadership is Pastor David McDonald!

Pastors get a lot of ridicule and judgement. But what we forget is that a true man of God accepts the assignment and not of their own will but of the will of the Almighty God.

This is not an easy assignment and that’s just from our observation.

God calls and the man of God answers.

Pastor, as we celebrate you in this season, let us say thank you for taking the call.
