This post is a little late, but we had a great day in East Berlin on Friday, June 11. We laid wreaths in honor of each branch of the service and the POW-MIAs. Then we honored our Vietnam Veterans in attendance with a great welcome home ceremony and had a UH-1 "huey" helicopter flyover. The Wreaths Across America mobile education trailer was on-site for tours and we raised $2900 for that great organization! It may have been a damp, rainy day, but that didn't dampen the spirits and mood of those in attendance!!

It was an awesome Wreaths Across America service on December 19th!! About 125 people turned out to lay wreaths on the veterans Graves. PA state representative Torren Ecker joined us to make a few remarks. The main speaker was retired Air Force General Ralph Jodice. Lake Meade orchestra played music prior to the service and a few songs during the service. A big thank you to the members of East Berlin VFW Memorial team for assisting with everything. It was a great day!!

It was an awesome day at East Berlin VFW where we assembled 80 flags to honor our heroes and raised money for Wreaths Across America at East Berlin Union Cemetery. You can still sponsor a flag! About 30 volunteers came out to help including some Boy Scouts! The flags will be on display for a week at the Post and again at the Cemetery for National Wreaths Across America Day on December 19!!
