The Dream Center exists to encourage, to educate, and to empower people in need through the love of Jesus Christ. Every program is designed to offer a hand up instead of a hand out. In March, 2017, The Dream Center opened a one of a kind homeless shelter program for women and children called The Opportunity Village. The village consists of 23 tiny houses and 10 transitional houses as well as a res
ident manager house. Residents must follow an Individualized Success Plan developed by The Dream Center to help them achieve self-sufficiency. This plan includes classes, counseling, job readiness, volunteering and continuing education. The Dream Center receives zero government funding and operates from donations and from the proceeds of their four resale stores. We believe it takes more than compassionate hearts and generous gifts to elevate people out of poverty. Repeatedly giving to people in need what they could be empowered to earn for themselves may well be the kindest way to destroy them. Educating, empowering, encouraging, and equipping people is love. Our mission is simple..We are loving people.
