Week 3 Lenten Journey
Power4 Living Lenten Devotional

Week 3 – Healing

Allowing God to Mend the Broken Places

📖 Primary Scripture – Psalm 147:3 (KJV)
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”

Beloved Family,

As we continue our Lenten journey, this week we pause in a sacred space called healing.

Lent is not only about repentance and surrender.
It is also about restoration.

Many of us carry wounds that no one sees:
• Disappointments we never talked about
• Betrayals we tried to move past
• Grief we quietly manage
• Rejection that still stings
• Church hurt
• Family pain
• Regret over past mistakes

Some wounds are fresh.
Some are old.
Some we have learned to live with.

But Psalm 147:3 reminds us that God is not distant from our pain.
He is the One who binds wounds.

Notice what the Scripture says — He binds them.

Binding is careful.
Binding is intentional.
Binding is compassionate.

Healing is not instant — it is a process.
And Lent gives us permission to slow down long enough to let God tend to our hearts.

Jesus did not go to the cross only for our sins.
He went for our scars.

This week, we invite God into the places we’ve hidden.

You cannot carry pain and power at the same time.

Healing begins when we stop pretending and start praying.

🙏 Prayer

Father God,
You see every broken place in me.
You know what I’ve buried and what I’ve been carrying alone.
Touch the wounded areas of my heart.
Heal what still hurts.
Restore what has been damaged.
Renew my joy and strengthen my spirit.
Make me whole.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

✨ Reflection Question

What wound have you been carrying that God is inviting you to release this week?

Take a moment. Be honest with yourself. Then give it to Him.

Lenten Devotional Journey:
“From the Cross to the Crown”

📅 Week 1: Return to God – A Call to Repentance

Scripture: Joel 2:12–13 (KJV)
“Turn ye even to me with all your heart…”

Devotional:
Lent begins with an invitation—not to shame, but to surrender. God is calling us back to Himself, not with condemnation, but with compassion. He desires our hearts more than our habits and our devotion more than our routines.

This is a season to examine our lives honestly and ask, “Lord, what needs to change?” Repentance is not about feeling bad—it is about becoming better. When we turn to God, He meets us with mercy.

Prayer:
Lord, search my heart. Remove anything that separates me from You. Restore my passion for Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection:
What is God asking you to release in this season?
