Meet the faces behind GCBC socials! Starting off strong with our Social Media Coordinator, Jenn Recio!

Hi I’m Jenn! I have been married to my husband, Cole, since 2019. We have two young children, Stella-James, and Brewer. I’ve been attending Georges Creek since 2022 but I officially joined in 2024! I am very outgoing and I’m always down to make a funny video or two! I really enjoy being a part of our social media team. It allows me to express my creative side while also getting to use social media for good! My favorite project I’ve been a part of so far is the volunteer spotlight! I really love to celebrate other volunteers and it’s been so fun to see our churches participation in that!

This week our volunteer spotlight goes to Tommy Burdine! Tommy has been a member of our church since 1976. He has always been willing to help whether or not he was officially on a committee. If it’s broken, he fixes it. If it has to do with properties, he is the one to oversee it. If something needs to be done, he will be one of the first to volunteer! He’s been a deacon since he was first eligable and a trustee. He’s overseen many projects at the church. He has given his time so freely to our church and does so many unseen things! From changing lightbulbs to uncloging toilets, to mopping up after an event, he’s willing to do just about anything he’s asked to do. The kids love to see him, the adults learn so much from him, he is a pillar of our church family, and we are so incredibly thankful for him! This week’s volunteer shout out goes to Kaleigh Wi******er Roberts 💙 Kaleigh does so much for our church. She spends many Sundays in a row serving our church selflessly. As much as she does I have never heard her complain about being tired, worn down, or burnt out. She truly has a servants heart and we see it! Thank you for all you do for our kids, volunteers, and church Kaleigh! We appreciate you more than words can tell! This week we are starting something new… volunteer spotlight! We appreciate all of our volunteers here at GCBC and we want to shout them out so they can feel just how much we appreciate them! Miranda has been graciously serving our church for about 51 years. She spends so much of her time loving on and pouring into the children of our church. When our kids are with Miranda they are safe, cared for, and loved. She treats every child like they are her own. She is such an amazing example of what it means to serve joyfully.
