Tomorrow morning (Wednesday), we celebrate the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟳:𝟯𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲.

𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 will be there as we begin this new chapter. We'd love to see a great crowd as we gather to celebrate the Eucharist and welcome our new priests!

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡

Today we celebrated our final Sunday Mass at St. Joseph's Church. It was an emotional day filled with gratitude, prayer, and cherished memories.

Thank you to everyone who has made St. Joseph's such a special place through your faith, service, and love over the years. Such a great turnout for our social after Mass! It was a wonderful opportunity to share stories, reconnect, and celebrate the many blessings of our parish.

While Sunday Mass at St. Joseph's has come to an end, we 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, united in Christ and connected by the faith, friendships, and memories we have shared. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵'𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀.

May God continue to bless St. Joseph's and all who have called it their spiritual home. Let us carry the faith we have nurtured here wherever God leads us.

A great Earlville 4th of July Parade and celebration! 🇺🇸

Our St. Joseph theme, "𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵," was a beautiful reminder of the blessings we enjoy as a nation.

Our 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 float, "𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀," brought plenty of smiles as we handed out treat bags with a 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 to the kids along the parade route—a small reminder that Jesus is always with us.

A very special thank you to 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗿, who delighted everyone by dressing up as a 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀! Thank you for sharing your joy, enthusiasm, sense of fun and braving the heat, while reminding us that we all need Jesus in our lives.

A special thank you to the @𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 for their dedication and hard work in making this annual celebration so enjoyable for our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped decorate the float, walked in the parade, and made this a fun celebration.

𝑷𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 ~ 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉!🔥

Today is 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, recognized as the birthday of the Catholic Church, we celebrated with the children processing in while waving red ribbons.

In celebration of Pentecost the children received a "pocket Jesus" - because “𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀!” as a reminder that Jesus is always with them wherever they go.

With Fr. Le going home to Vietnam to visit family (it has been 8 years since Fr. has been home!), to celebrate his Mass of Thanksgiving and to renew his visa, today was also Father Le’s last scheduled Sunday Mass at St. Joseph before moving on to his next assignment. The parish presented Father with a St. Joseph’s t-shirt as a keepsake to remember our parish.🙂

Today we also had a special guest as we welcomed Fr. Le’s spiritual director from Mundelein Seminary in Chicago at Mass.

🎓𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀!🎓

Today at Mass we recognized the 2026 graduates from St. Joseph parish: 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙚 𝙂𝙚𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙠𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙧, 𝘿𝙮𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙆𝙣𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧, 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙋𝙪𝙜𝙝, 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙬, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙝.

May God continue to guide and bless them in all that they do. May He grant them wisdom in their decisions, strength in challenges, and joy in the opportunities that lie ahead. May your hearts always remain grounded in faith, filled with hope, and open to the many blessings God has planned for you.

A heartfelt thank you to Cheyenne and Preston for continuing to faithfully serve at Mass throughout their senior year of high school. Your willingness to give your time and talents in service to the Church is truly appreciated and is a wonderful example of faith in action.

May God hold you all in the palm of His hand and bless you always with peace, happiness, success, and love.

Funeral services for Shirley Nefzger will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Earlville.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville with an additional visitation one hour prior to Mass, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Earlville.

Please keep Shirley and her family in your prayers.🙏

Eternal rest grant unto her, Oh Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
