Elder Lockhart conducted a tent revival in the village resulting in sixty conversions. Services were then held in the Methodist Episcopal church and other available locations until 1875 when a good frame building, 30' x 50' was erected. On February 18, 1902, the Christian Church building was burned, with all it's contents, including records. That same summer, with a membership of fifty-seven, a 38
' x 38' building was constructed. The congregation remained active through the years as a one-room church. In 1956, realizing the need for additional space for fellowship and classrooms, a 24' x 38' annex was built onto the east. Again in 1964, more space was added, this time on the south. It provided 16' by 62' of additional classroom space. Although the building had been well maintained throughout the years, early in the 21st century, it became evident that it was structurally unsafe. More space was also needed due to increased attendance. A building committee was formed in 2003. The congregation voted in the spring of 2007 to proceed with plans for a new facility. foot building located approximately one mile south of Eagleville, Missouri on Highway 69 was completed in November 2008. The first services were held at the new building on November 23, 2008 with 135 in attendance. Members of the present congregation come from several communities in Harrison County including Bethany, Blythedale, Eagleville, Hatfield, and Ridgeway. Even though we come from different communities and various denominational backgrounds we share the common desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Our church doors are open to anyone interested in studying, worshiping with us, and sharing in fellowship. It is our hope and prayer that this church will continue to be a focal point of the community, and will be used by any denomination or group that has a need.
