A non-denominational organization, established in 2014 (a 501c3 not-for-profit) The Rock Mission Center occupies 2/3 of a 17,500 square-foot building. Wall St. in Eagle River, you would think that 2/3 of a 17,500 square-foot building is a large space to occupy. And you would be right. Deeply rooted in Jesus, the “Rock Space” turned out to be the right size for what God had in mind. Immediately God
began sending ministries to the Rock. Within a couple of months, the Northwoods Share Community Dinners served twice a month. The Needs Ministry has wonderful space in our Annex and provides free clothes, paper, and personal products every Wednesday from 9-4. Other early ministries were Sunshine for Humanity, the Salvation Army, Ruby's Food Pantry, Healthline Screening, Operation Christmas Child, and The Foster Closet. Naming a couple. Scores of the original ministries are still there, untold numbers have come and gone as they have grown. Gods work continues.
• Passionate in its mission of “Serving Our Community” the Rock currently provides and has space utilized by many groups and organizations.
• The Vilas County A.D.R.C. (Aging, Disability, Resource, Center) More Than a Meal Program, eat in and Home Delivery operates daily. Northwoods Share Community Dinners and the Needs Ministry. And countless more. (Facebook Link)
• With its Large Kitchen and Dining Hall, which has seating for 170. It is the perfect location for your Wedding Reception, Celebration of Life, Association Meetings, any large or small gathering. The lower level offers a conference room, office space and large gaming area. A Ping-Pong table, Pool table and Air Hockey table, and crowds of other activities are available. (Facebook Link)
• The Rock Mission Centers, as a 501c3 (not-for-profit) its primary object is Meeting the Spiritual, Physical and Emotional Needs of the Community.
• Kathy Paul, the first outreach coordinator of “The Rock” summed it up like this, “We have been blessed with an incredible opportunity to serve as Jesus served right here in the community; our mission field is here.”
