❤️✝️ Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus ✝️❤️

Today we honor the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a heart burning with love, mercy, and compassion for all humanity. The pierced Heart of Christ reminds us that His love knows no limits and that He continually invites us to draw near to Him with trust and confidence.

In a world often marked by division and uncertainty, the Sacred Heart of Jesus calls us to imitate His gentleness, forgiveness, and selfless love. May we place our families, our parish, and our own hearts within His Sacred Heart, finding peace and strength in His unfailing love.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us and make our hearts like unto Thine. ❤️🙏

Today the Church celebrates the memorial of St. Barnabas, Apostle, a man known for his encouragement, generosity, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

Though not one of the Twelve, St. Barnabas answered God’s call with a generous heart. He welcomed St. Paul when others were hesitant, proclaimed the Gospel with zeal, and helped build up the early Church through his example of charity and encouragement.

May we, like St. Barnabas, be instruments of hope and unity, encouraging others in their faith and boldly sharing the Good News of Christ.

“He was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith.” — Acts 11:24

St. Barnabas, Apostle and Son of Encouragement, pray for us!

Today, we join the Bishops of the United States as they lead us in consecrating the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes and individuals around the country are invited and strongly encouraged to unite in prayer on this historic occasion, with this Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus written for the consecration.

At our 11:00 AM Mass today, we were blessed to welcome the Diaconate Candidates for the Diocese of Laredo. Following their two-day retreat, they joined our parish community in prayer and worship.

We give thanks to God for their generosity in responding to His call and for the dedication of those who accompany them in formation. Please keep these men, their families, and the formation team in your prayers as they continue their journey toward ordination to the Permanent Diaconate.

May the Lord strengthen them with His grace, wisdom, and servant-hearted love as they prepare to serve His Church. 🙏✝️

Today we honor St. Justin Martyr, one of the great defenders of the early Christian faith.

A philosopher in search of truth, Justin found the fullness of truth in Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to proclaiming the Gospel. Through his writings and witness, he helped explain and defend the faith during a time of persecution. Ultimately, he sealed his testimony with the gift of his life, choosing fidelity to Christ over earthly safety.

St. Justin reminds us that faith and reason work together, leading us closer to God. May his courage inspire us to boldly live our Catholic faith, to seek the truth with sincerity, and to remain faithful to Christ in every circumstance.

“Whatever things were rightly said among all men are the property of us Christians.” — St. Justin Martyr

St. Justin Martyr, pray for us! ✝️

:

May his example encourage us to seek Christ wholeheartedly and witness to Him with both conviction and charity.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity—the mystery at the heart of our Catholic faith.

We believe in one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father creates us, the Son redeems us, and the Holy Spirit sanctifies us. Though we cannot fully comprehend this great mystery, we experience God’s love through His presence in our lives each day.

The Holy Trinity reminds us that God is not solitude, but a communion of perfect love. As disciples of Christ, we are called to reflect that same love in our families, our parish, and our communities.

May the Father bless you, the Son guide you, and the Holy Spirit fill you with wisdom, peace, and joy.

Happy Feast of the Most Holy Trinity!

“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.” 🙏🏻✝️

Today we honor St. Philip Neri, the joyful saint who reminded the world that holiness and happiness go hand in hand. Known as the “Apostle of Rome,” he lived with deep humility, contagious joy, and a heart completely devoted to Christ.

St. Philip taught that laughter, kindness, and genuine love for others can lead souls closer to God. In a world often filled with stress and division, his life reminds us to choose joy, prayer, and charity every day.

“Cast yourself into the arms of God and be very sure that if He wants anything from you, He will fit you for the work and give you strength.”

St. Philip Neri, pray for us!

Today we honor two beautiful memorials: Memorial Day and the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.

As we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation, we also turn to our Blessed Mother, who stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross beside her Son. Mary teaches us courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love.

May we never forget those who laid down their lives for our freedom, and may Mary, Mother of the Church, continue to guide and protect all families, all veterans, and all who serve our communities and country.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. 🇺🇸✝️
Holy Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us

Come, Holy Spirit! 🔥🕊️

Today we celebrate Pentecost — the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and filled them with courage, wisdom, and zeal to proclaim the Gospel to the world. What began in fear behind locked doors became a mission that transformed the world through the power of God.

The same Holy Spirit given to the Apostles has also been given to us. May the Spirit renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and set us on fire with the love of Christ.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.”

Happy Pentecost! Come Holy Spirit! 🔥
