Eagle Park 1st Ward members, families and friends:

As we follow the counsel of The First Presidency to begin to return to church meetings (Sacrament Meeting only), we have coordinated with our Stake Presidency, the other Bishops and our Ward Council and decided that Eagle Park 1st Ward will return to holding in-person Sacrament Meetings at the Autumn Ridge building beginning on Sunday, June 28th and we will meet every other Sunday (6/28, 7/12, 7/26, etc.) We will not have fast and testimony meetings until further notice. Also if you are sick anytime during the week that we hold sacrament service we ask that you not attend services that week.

In my previous email to ward members I explained that to follow guidance provided by The First Presidency and Quorum of Twelve Apostles and the State of Utah recommendations, we must divide our ward into two separate Sacrament Meeting groups so that the total number of members attending either group will not exceed 99 individuals.

As a Bishopric and Ward Council, we have decided to create the two separate Sacrament Meeting groups in Eagle Park 1st Ward based on house street address as shown in the map that is attached.

As a reminder for High-Risk Individuals: Ward members who are 65 years and older; and anyone with underlying medical conditions are encouraged not to attend Sacrament meetings. In support of high-risk individuals or for other circumstances and health reasons other ward members may not choose to attend Sacrament meetings for a time. Bishop Haslam may continue to authorize administration of the sacrament ordinance on a case-by-case basis.

Please share this information with your neighbors and ministering families. If you have further questions please talk to a member of the bishopric.

Thanks

Bishop Haslam

"By this point in His ministry, it was clear that Jesus’s teachings would be unlike what the people of His time were used to hearing. The poor will receive the kingdom of God? The meek will inherit the earth? Blessed are the persecuted? The scribes and Pharisees were not teaching such things."

"This miracle of a lifetime begins with the decision to follow Jesus Christ, to change and live a better life through Him. Ultimately this change can become so complete that becoming “born again” is one of the best ways to describe it (John 3:7). But rebirth is just the beginning of the path of discipleship."

"If you were asked to describe what Jesus Christ was sent to earth to do, what would you say? In Luke 4:18–19, the Savior described aspects of His own mission by quoting one of Isaiah’s prophecies about the Messiah (see Isaiah 61:1–2). What do you learn about His mission as you read these verses?"
