Good morning. An innocent person, we know as Jesus, sacrificed Himself on our behalf. Everything He went through was for us. Jesus was mocked, beat, and spat on. The flesh on His body was literally ripped away. A crown of thorns was pressed down on His head and spikes were hammered into his hands and feet. He was hung on a cross for hours until His death.

It’s one thing to read someone else’s account of what happened, but Psalms 22 gives us a glimpse of what Jesus was actually going through.

Psalms 22:14-18 “My strength is gone, like water poured out on the ground. My bones have separated. My courage is gone. My mouth is as dry as a piece of baked pottery. My tongue is sticking to the roof of my mouth. You have left me dying in the dust. The “dogs” are all around me— a pack of evil people has trapped me. They have pierced my hands and feet. I can see each one of my bones. My enemies are looking at me; they just keep staring. They divide my clothes among themselves, and they throw lots for what I am wearing.”

‭There was nothing He did to deserve such punishment. He suffered so that we can be saved. He suffered so that we won’t have to experience the wrath of God. He suffered so that we can reconnect with the Father.

Praise God for Jesus and all He’s done for us.

Good morning. In life, there are some major and minor decisions we have to make. Many of us seek counsel from close friends or family members. Seeking counsel from our friends and family members is fine but, God desires to be included on our list. In fact, according to Matthew 6:33, He desires to be first on our list.

Some of us may have a difficult time discerning God’s voice from our own. We eliminate this difficulty by forcing ourselves to spend time with God. We force ourselves to spend time with God by detaching ourselves from the world (technology, TV, etc.). The more we make an effort to spend time with God, the easier it becomes to hear His voice.

It’s very important to develop our relationship and communication skills with God. God has every answer we need, for every decision in life. Start seeking God; the best Counselor.

Psalm 16:7

Good morning. To obtain anything from God, it has to be received by faith (Mark 11:22-24). Hebrews 6:12 tells us faith requires patience. Patience lets us know waiting is involved before acquiring the promise. We may have to wait an hour or 10 years. Romans 4:20 provides a blueprint on what to do while waiting.

Waiting is not sitting back allowing time to go by. Waiting requires our participation. Romans 4:20 tells us Abraham did not waver in unbelief while waiting on the promise of a son. He was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.

From the time we prayed, to the time we received the promise, worship needs to take place. We worship and give glory to God for Who He is, what He’s done, and what He promised. We may not have the promise in our lives, but we worship Him as if we do. The enemy will attempt to discourage us by magnifying the waiting period and attempt to convince us the promise won’t come to pass. That’s the perfect time to worship. Worship counters the attacks of the devil and it keeps us focused on God, the Source of our promise.

The key components to receive the promises of God are unwavering faith, patience, and worship. BUT they that wait upon the Lord,,, means those who actively trust, anticipate, and rely on God's timing and strength, rather than idly waiting or giving up hope. It involves an active relationship with God through prayer and seeking Him, which results in renewed strength, perseverance, and the ability to overcome life's challenges with divine assistance. Then there’s the word SHALL!

Good morning.
Romans 4:16 says the promises of God are received by faith however, faith has more components besides believing.
James 2:20 says faith without works is dead.
Galatians 5:6 says faith works by love.
Hebrews 6:12 says faith is attached to patience.

With all this being known, to inherit the promises from God we need faith, patience, works, and love.

In order for us to receive these promises, some of us need to evaluate our lives. We need to ask ourselves are we lacking in any of these areas?
Faith: Do we need to believe God without doubting?
Works: Are we physically doing our part in the process to receive our desire?
Patience: Are we continuing to do what we know to do is right (over time) even if it seems what we’re doing is not working?
Love: Are we treating EVERYONE with the love of God? Have we forgiven our brother/sister who has wronged us?

It’s a lot of things to consider when we’re reaching for our promise. Activate these principles and watch God do the amazing.

Good morning everybody. To continue to believe in, trust, or support someone or something when it is difficult to do so is hard to do at times. There are a few ways Abraham showed us how to keep the faith.

Believe the Word of God.
Abraham believed the Word of God. If we’re going to receive anything from God, in spite of everything we see, we must believe His Word.

Ignore Contrary Facts.
Abraham understood the fact that he and his wife were too old to have a child, but he chose to ignore contrary facts and stay in faith. There are going to be facts we see that make it difficult to believe God’s Word will come to pass. In the face of every contrary fact, we must ignore those facts and focus on the promise.

Give Glory to God.
As we believe God’s Word, ignore the facts, and give glory to God we position ourselves to receive anything we want from God. Keep the faith.
When Abraham ignored the contrary facts and focused on the promise of God, he freed himself up to give glory to God. He gave glory to God because it wasn’t a matter of if the promise was coming; it was when it was coming. When we believe, it’s just a matter of time before we receive our promise, we don’t have to wait to see the promise to give glory to God. We can give glory to God now.

Good morning everyone. Some of us think a person representing God or Jesus needs to be spotless. Some people feel like it’s hypocritical to have a person who may smoke, drink, or curse giving God glory when they do well. I used to think the same way. But if God waited for everyone to be spotless or wrinkle-free before using them for His glory, He would be waiting forever.

It’s funny how we don’t have anything to say when an unsaved person does well and they thank everyone else, but God. But when a saved person praises God after doing well, we want to mention that person’s behavior and character. We want to say “If God was really the head of their lives, they wouldn’t be…” Who are we to judge and say who can give God glory or not? We’re not perfect. At least they’re glorifying God.

Everyone needs grace. God can use whomever He desires regardless of our opinion of their behavior. Let God be glorified by all.

Matthew 7:1

Good morning. Whatever we’re believing God for, the devil is on the other side throwing darts of doubt in our minds.

Satan will tell us it’s not going to happen, it’s not going to work out the way we think, or it’s not going to get better. When throwing these doubts, he’ll have us consider our age, our financial status, our health, our experience, and statistics. His goal is for us to throw away our faith and give up.

During these times we must rely on God’s comfort. Where is God’s comfort? In His word. When we look in His word and see our victory, that victory brings us comfort. So, receive by His stripes you’re healed, believe God always causes you to triumph, and know you can do all things through Christ to combat the thoughts of doubt.

Psalms 94:19

09/08/2025

Good morning. When we sin or miss the mark, the first thing our flesh wants to do is hide from God. We stop attending church, we stop praying, and we stop talking about the goodness of God. We do this because the enemy makes us feel guilty or ashamed about what we’ve done. He condemns and lies to us making us feel like God is mad at and wants nothing to do with us.

If we sin, we need to recognize this attack on our souls. We need to remember Jesus died for our past, present, and future sins (Romans 6:10). We need to remind ourselves that if we confess our sin to God, He is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:19). We need to understand that there’s no condemnation in Christ (Romans 8:1).

When we know about the love, grace, and mercy of God towards us, we can receive our forgiveness and continue on with our lives. Don’t run and hide from God. He’s a loving and forgiving God waiting to receive us back into His arms.

Genesis 3:8

09/05/2025

Good morning. Many times we’ll read or hear a preacher say pray for your enemies. But, what are we praying for?

Our enemies may have hurt us but, have we considered why they even attacked us in the first place? Could it be they are hurting themselves? The same people we call our enemies could have been neglected or molested as children. They could have been abused physically or verbally by someone else. They could have been treated unfairly. With all of this negativity in their lives, they may not know how to love or forgive. All they may know is how to is ‘protect’ themselves and attack anyone who may be a threat to their happiness, peace, or satisfaction. Those type of people need prayer and forgiveness.

We are to pray that the blood of Jesus removes the pain of their pasts so that our enemies can soon become our bothers and sisters in Christ. Be the man or woman God has called you to be and pray for your enemies.

Matthew 5:44

09/04/2025

Good morning. Everything our flesh desires to do, everything that seems logical to our minds, and everything the world teaches us, the Word of God instructs us to do the opposite.

Matthew 5:43 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy-seven times!

Love and pray for our enemies, give to get, and forgive continuously are just some of the opposite ways God desires of us.

God requires opposite ways from us to set ourselves apart from and provide light to a darkened world. Following God’s opposite ways is also an outward expression of our trust in God. We can say we trust God with our mouths, but can we trust God when it doesn’t make sense in our heads.

No matter how weird they seem, when we follow God’s ways God guarantees that success follows, and there are numerous testimonies in the body of Christ supporting that promise. Get with the law of opposites so that God’s opposite ways can lead you in the right direction.
