The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Our Lady of the Fields #2465 in Eagle Lake is proud to be part of one of the largest organizations of Catholic women in the world! ✝️
We would love to invite all Catholic women of our Parish, ages 18 and older, to come see what our sisterhood is all about.
Being a Catholic Daughter is about so much more than attending meetings. 💜 It’s about building deep, lifelong friendships with women who share our Catholic faith while working together to serve our parish, support those in need, and make a difference in our community.
🌸 WHAT DO WE DO? 🌸
Through annual membership dues, our Spring and Fall Meal Fundraisers, and dessert sales at the annual Knights of Columbus fundraiser meals, our members raise funds that go right back into our church, youth, community, and charitable projects.
🎓 Supporting Our Youth & Faith Formation
• Award four scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of CDA members
• Provide the Confirmation meal and gifts
• Partner with the Knights of Columbus to provide Bibles to our Parish high school seniors
• Provide Easter Treat Bags for the Parish of the Nativity First Communion Class
• Support Vacation Bible School and our CCD/Faith Formation program
• Donate to Promoting Literacy Across Texas and the Diocesan Catechetical Conference
⛪️ Supporting Our Parish & Clergy
• Donate $400 each year toward our church missalettes
• Pay for priest vestment cleaning
• Provide our priest with a Christmas gift and Priest Appreciation Day gift
• Donate to the Diocesan Services Appeal
• Donate to the Parish of the Nativity Festival Raffle
• Partnered with the Knights of Columbus to help pay for the refinishing of the Didner Hall floors
💕 Caring for Our Members
When requested, our members provide and serve desserts and beverages for the funeral meals of CDA members’ families. We are there for one another not only during the good times, but also during some of life’s most difficult moments.
🤝 Serving Our Community & Beyond
• Support the Circle of Love and Texas State CDA projects
• Donate to the Texas State Memorial Scholarship Mass Fund
• Complete a community service project each year through our “Christmas Giving” project
• Most recently supported Blue Santa and purchased Christmas food and gifts for residents of Arbor Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Eagle Lake
• Hold an annual November Food Drive, providing collected food and monetary donations to our local Food Pantry and the Baptist Church in Eagle Lake
