On My Heart
Three Is Better
“Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” Ecclesiastes 4:11-13
For three months we have been praying together that the Lord would open hearts and minds to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Praying that He would do a great work in the lives of those who are lost as well as waking us up to the mission He gave us. The Scripture makes it clear that God is the giver of all good things. James said "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." This reminds me again that if we are going to see an answer to our prayers God must do it! Yet I am also reminded that we are the channel through which He has chosen to work. In other words, God has honored us with the privilege of being His ambassadors! Like any work it is much more effective when we work together. Two strands are better than one and even better when the main strand is the Lord Himself. Not one of us can get our special events done alone. We must stand together, shoulder to shoulder. Three is better...even more is the most bestest. ~ Pastor Jeff
