The Past ...

The Eagle Grove Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Congregation was founded on July 25, 1884. In ten years there were 70 families (and Ole Gunderson was married). We currently have 724 baptized children of God that call EGELC their church home. Over the years the congregation has been affiliated with several Lutheran

denomination. Today we are proud to be a part of both the LCMC and NALC.

"This is the day the Lord has made; let be glad and rejoice in it."~ Psalm 118:24

Every day is a blessing from God and it is our goal to meet each new day ready to serve our Lord. The future is filled with the promise of God's presence and our work is still the same as those who have gone before us. Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." ~ Matt 28:19-20
