Happy winter solstice to you all! We have installed a large array of solar panels on site and are only awaiting connection to our system by the power company.
From here on out, things are going to be brighter!

Come join our team! We bring a lot of positive energy to our staff, our food, and our guests.
If surrounding yourself with positivity sounds good to you, check us out!

We make healthy and delicious food from scratch on site. We put a lot of time and effort into providing appropriate and high quality meals for people who have a variety of dietary restrictions.

We are willing to consider people with little or no experience who have a positive attitude!

We ask all staff to be…
· Committed to offering genuine hospitality to our guests
· Team players
· Kind and clear in their communication
· Attentive to detail & cleanliness
· Honest, reliable & focused staff
· Able to work standing for several hours and lift up to 25 lbs.

We are offering 12-30 hours per week.
Morning, midday, and evening shifts are available.

https://gnw-reg.brtapp.com/CollinsVolunteer2022

We have a number of projects and tasks we need help with over the next few months, and would love to have your help. Also, we have some empty rooms and spare places at the table that you could fill.

Head on over to our volunteer registration page, check out some available dates, and join us under the trees.

Spaces are available as soon as this weekend!

High speed web access is now available at Alton L. Collins Retreat Center!
Our ISP has finally brought fiber optic cable to our area.
(The spiders are still making their webs accessible onsite, too.)

Thank you to the people who left their worship candles at the retreat center over the years!
Those candles provided us with light when the power went out last night during dinner.
We're glad the power is back on now, but we had great ambience last night!

You could also choose to donate to Suttle Lake, another site in our network, near Sisters, Oregon. They are raising money to create a hammock village.

Can you help us reach their goal?

We are looking forward to welcoming campers back at some point in 2021 and providing space for connecting and healing after the challenges of this year. As we plan and dream of these days ahead, we want to combine the magic of camp with the peace and relaxation of hammocks! Picture a small group of campers relaxing in hammocks with gentle, white clouds floating in the blue sky above and a gentle breeze blowing in the pine branches above. Wow! Doesn't that sound like the perfect place for renewal and prayer. With your help these hammock retreats can become a reality.

Please visit http://fnd.us/b1k4S9?ref=sh_28y9l2 to give or find out more. You can help too by sharing this post with others. Prayers as we look ahead are always appreciated too.

Oh, and this picture is of a stand we likely will using with the hammocks. Using a stand is gentle on the trees and land, plus a little more versatile for locating clusters of hammocks. We estimate that each stand will cost $65 in material for volunteers to construct. Durable hammocks are available for $45 each.

You are invited to support one of our other sites, Camp Magruder, on the Oregon Coast, as they raise money to provide meals to students during Winter Break.
Can you help reach the goal of $2,500?

We're on our way! We've already raised $1,300 towards our $2,500 goal. Turn up the heat on this fire. Any gift you give makes more meals possible. http://fnd.us/d1jzg7?ref=sh_88csnd
