All who trust in him and his way will not come to a bad end, but will have the life of the world to come that ne

O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: Preserve those who travel in particular the riders and horses and support relatives on the Honoring our Chiefs ride; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey’s end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear God, Creator of the earth, this sacred home we share; Give us new eyes to see the beauty all around and to protect the wonders of creation.

Give us new arms to embrace the strangers among us and to know them as family. Give us new ears to hear and understand those who live off the land and to hear and understand those who extract its resources.

Give us new hearts to recognize the brokenness in our communities and to heal the wounds we have inflicted. Give us new hands to serve the earth and its people and to shape beloved community.

For you are the One who seeks the lost,
binds our wounds and sets us free,
and it is in the name of Jesus the Christ we pray. Amen.

“Thank you for your service. I am glad to say that to veterans of the armed forces. And to police officers and fire-fighters. Also to school teachers. And nurses. Parents who work a second job. Farmers who till the fields. Mechanics who keep things running. Truck drivers and waitresses. Young people on minimum wage. Thank you all, thank you for your service.” (Steven Charleston)

Eternal Spirit, living God,
in whom we live and move and have our being,
all that we are, have been, and shall be is known to you,
to the very secret of our hearts
and all that rises to trouble us.

Living flame burn into us,
cleansing wind, blow through us,
fountain of water, well up within us,
that we may love and praise in deed and in truth. Amen.
