❤️ IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN TO CHURCH IN A WHILE… IT’S TIME TO COME HOME. ❤️

Tomorrow is Homecoming Sunday at Christ Church Baptist Fellowship, and there’s someone we’re hoping will read this.

Maybe that someone is YOU.

Maybe you’ve been busy.
Maybe life has been difficult.
Maybe you’ve gotten out of the habit of going to church.
Maybe you’ve felt like you’ve been gone too long.

But can I remind you of something?

You’re not too far away.
You haven’t been gone too long.
And there is still a place for you.

The church isn’t just a building. It’s a family. And sometimes, family needs to remind you:

“Come home.” 🏡❤️

Come back and worship.
Come back and hear the Word.
Come back and feel the presence of God.
Come back and fellowship with people who love you.

Don’t let another Sunday pass you by.

Tomorrow, leave the excuses behind. Get your family together. Get dressed. Walk through those doors.

We would love to see you.
God would love to see you.
And there’s a seat waiting for you.

Isn’t strange how no one wants to sit on the front row at church, but pays extra to sit on the front row at a concert or sporting event?

Isn’t strange how we question words in the Bible, but believe everything we read on the internet?

Isn’t strange how we need to know about a church event two or three weeks in advance to fit it into our schedules, but we can adjust other events last minute?

Isn’t strange how hard it is to share God’s Word with others, but easy to share gossip with others?

Isn’t strange how hard it is to read one chapter in the Bible, and how easy it is to read a popular fiction novel?

Isn’t strange how $20 seems like a huge amount to donate to church, and such a small amount when going shopping?

Isn’t strange how two hours seems so long at church, but so short while watching a good movie?

There is a big difference between attending a church and belonging to one.

Attending means you notice what is missing.

Belonging means you feel responsible for it.

Attending says, “They really need more people serving.”

Belonging says, “Maybe I can help.”

Attending says, “The music could be a lot better.”

Belonging says, “Who could I encourage?”

Attending says, “Nobody really connects here.”

Belonging says, “We are having people over Friday.”

That perspective changes how you see everything.

The church stops being “them.”

It becomes “us.”
