We all need to tell at least one person about Our Lord this week, then try to double that every week. Churches need our help, which we are called to do by The Lord. We need to stand together and pray for our country as well, that we will get a good God fearing man as a president that will help turn this country back to God.

Mark your calendar and save your dates. Vacation Bible School at Southside Baptist is just around the corner. We begin on Monday Evening, June 13, and continue each night until Friday, June 17. The theme for the VBS this year is “Submerge.” The goal is to have the children go deeper in God’s Word. Please be in prayer for the leaders and workers as we reach out to the children in our community for Christ. Bring your children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren so they might learn about Jesus and the Word of God.

This is our Thanksgiving season, but why do we only celebrate Thanksgiving once a year? We should practice Thanksgiving every day that we wake up and thank God above for our lives, breathe, family, day, night, but most of all thank Him for giving us the gift of eternal life. Only through Our Savior can we receive this gift, so we need to celebrate Thanksgiving every minute of every day and spread the love and joy that God gives us, along with spreading the news of His eternal love and salvation.
