On this Labor Day, we give thanks for all whose work, seen and unseen, paid and unpaid, helps sustain our homes, our communities, and our life together. We give thanks, too, for the quiet faithfulness, dedication, and love with which so many offer themselves each day in service to others.

As we pause this holiday weekend, may God draw near to you with rest for the weary, renewal for the spirit, and peace for the heart. May these days be filled with grace, gratitude, and the gentle reminder that all we offer in love is precious in God’s sight.

Please note: The parish office will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day and will reopen on Tuesday.

Sometimes the deepest relief God offers isn't the lifting of every burden, but the promise that we never carry those burdens alone. As Father Aaron reminds us, yes, God offers relief, but He also invites us into commitment: a covenant relationship where God's faithfulness holds us steady, even when life feels heavy on this side of heaven.

At St. John's, children are welcomed into a quiet, prayerful space where they engage with beautifully handmade materials that help them listen for God. Rooted in a Montessori-based approach, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd offers children time, stillness, and meaningful work that nurtures their relationship with God.

We offer two Atrium environments, each prepared with great care:
• Atrium I (ages 3-6)
• Atrium II (ages 7 - 12)

Both atria honor the child's natural capacity for prayer and invite each child into a gentle, lifelong conversation with God.

Join Us for Worship as We Welcome Father Aaron Home.

Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m., we will gather with joyful and thankful hearts to welcome Father Aaron home after three months away completing the U.S. Army's formal chaplaincy training.

These past months have been a season of learning, service, and faithful dedication, and we give thanks for the ministry he has offered during his time away.

Father Aaron will be preaching, and we hope you will join us for this grace-filled morning of welcome and thanksgiving.
