St. Paul's Church of the Nazarene, Duxbury, MA St. Paul's Church of the Nazarene is a loving community of believers committed to serving Jesus Christ in the greater Duxbury area. At St.

Paul's is a loving community of believers in Jesus Christ who meet in worship regularly. Beyond that, we actively seek ways to share the love we experience together beyond our four walls in the greater Duxbury area. OUR MISSION

Through Nazarene Compassionate Ministry and Nazarene World Missions, we share with those in need around the world, touching the lives of untold numbers through our denominational work in over 160 world areas. We share cooperatively to our immediate community through the Lion’s Share Food Pantry; a ministry located at St. Paul’s and led through a partnership with the Duxbury Lion’s Club. We share in partnership with other local agencies for the care of those in need including the Duxbury Interfaith Council, Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore, and we are a sponsoring congregation for “Home with Friends,” a Bridge of Hope ministry to provide adequate housing to single mothers while equipping those individuals for education and employment. Paul’s, you will find we frequently address the importance of meeting these and other needs through prayer support, volunteer work and sacrificial giving. However, we do so not merely out of social obligation, but out of our love for Christ who embodied sacrifice for the brokenness all humanity faces physically and spiritually. We seek to follow the model of love as demonstrated through Christ. In worship, you will find a place for all, young and old alike. In the same way we model partnerships in ministry, we meet together to share our common bond of love. Worship is meant to glorify God and therefore takes a variety of forms as we see so much variety in the world God created. We also provide personal growth opportunities through spiritual educational classes and small group discussion. There are classes for children, youth and adults. We share our lives in order to strengthen one another’s faith for the ups and downs of day to day life.

Motherhood is the most beautiful thing and the hardest at the same time, especially when you’re feeling alone in it. This group is a reminder that you’re never alone. Whether you’re waking all hours of the night with a newborn or struggling with the toddler stages, we are all in it together. Often times experiencing the same challenges but not aware of it until we share our stories. That’s what this group is all about, oh and a hot cup of coffee!

We hope to see you there!

In Church this morning, we heard from our children and the fears they have as we approach a new school year. Pastor Jeremy reminded them, he reminded all of us, that Jesus died for us and sent us the Holy Spirit so we don’t have to be afraid.

Whether we’re starting a new school year, a new job, feeling upset or lonely or isolated, feeling like we don’t belong, that the world is against us, trying something new or going in for surgery. It doesn’t matter the fear, what matters is that God is with us through them all. Continue to follow Him and have hope in Him every day, and the wind and the waves of our life will have no place here.
