For the first time in more than a decade, no public schools in Durham received an “F” performance grade in the state’s latest data report.

One school celebrating the success is Lowe’s Grove Middle, which is making strides in performance and proficiency. Students and staff at Lowe’s Grove said that sometimes their school gets a bad rap.

It was so good to serve lunch and deliver school supplies to the teachers and staff of Lowe's Grove Middle School. Yesterday was the last teacher work day before classes start back on Monday and we wanted love on those who pour into our students every day. Thank you so much to those who donated items and volunteered to make it a success. Please join us in praying for this amazing school.

Baptist on Mission project!. Six men from our church answered that call this week while many were here working project at Lowe's Grove Middle School. One young man was baptized last fall and then went on mission in Marion, NC during his birthday! Hard to believe there is still suffering from Hurricane Helene!

Day 4 of ServeNC week! We are so thankful for partnering churches like South Durham Church and many more that have been a huge part of this week; seeing us all come together to serve the Lord and our community is a beautiful thing. The school is looking awesome, just in time for the kids to come soon! Our guys that went to help rebuild are busy at work and enjoying their time together. God is good! NC Baptists
