We’re often encouraged to focus on what’s next, plan ahead, and seek forward motion. But in a recent Sunday message, Pastor Daniel reflected on something we don’t always make space for: remembering. Looking back. Noticing where God has been present. And reflecting on what God has already done. Listen to the full sermon (June 7) via the link in bio.

Trusting that Jesus is “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15), we believe that he embodies God’s fullest self-revelation to the world. So as we seek to love God and love our neighbors, Jesus is our primary point of reference. We strive to orient our faith, our ministries, and our lives around him.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue sharing some core theological beliefs that shape our church. We’re glad you’re here.

The Kindred community is deeply thoughtful about faith. During our recent “Ask Me Anything” conversation with Pastor Daniel, attendees asked wide-ranging questions like “What’s the church’s role in the political sphere?” “How can we trust God in the face of so much suffering in the world?” “How do we make sense of apparent contradictions within the Bible?” “Is Communion really more than a symbol?” We welcome these kinds of questions because wrestling honestly with our doubts and uncertainties is an important part of growing in faith. Bring your questions and join us on the journey!

We begin each worship service the same way: with a collective breath. A moment to arrive exactly as we are, to unburden our bodies of tension, and to open ourselves to a life-giving encounter with God.

As Pride Month begins, we just want to say how grateful we are to our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and neighbors for the gifts God has given you, for the love you add to our lives, and for the ways you reflect the image of God. We renew our commitment to be a church where you are welcomed and affirmed. We’re celebrating with you this month. Much love from your Kindred family!

This Sunday, we’re setting aside the traditional sermon for something a little different: an Ask Me Anything conversation with Pastor Daniel. Bring your questions. Bring your curiosity. There’s space for it at Kindred. Click play to learn more.
