The North Carolina Buddhist Temple is located in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. The temple belongs to the Theravada Tradition of Buddhism and operates under the patronage and guidance of Ven. Since it opened its doors in 2006, with the leadership and guidance of Ven. Wajirapala Thero, the temple community has grown five fold and has become a central part of the Raleigh-Durham Buddhist community.

Dear Devotees and Friends,
The Vesak Organizing Committee has worked tirelessly over the past several days to complete the beautiful Thorana, which was successfully finished last night.
As we prepare to celebrate the sacred Vesak Festival tomorrow, May 30th, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and dedication to make this event possible. Your hard work, teamwork, and commitment are truly appreciated.
We also warmly invite everyone to join us in celebrating Vesak and to take part in this special occasion with peace, unity, and blessings.
Thank you once again to all the volunteers, supporters, and community members for your valuable contributions.

Vesak Day/Dansal Prep Work Volunteering

Dear Devotees

We are organizing our Vesak celebrations and would greatly appreciate your support for the following tasks.

Please Note that, those who brought lanterns home a few weeks back for decorations, please bring them on or before 29th Friday to the temple.

Those who can volunteer or need any clarifications for the following tasks please text to Mahinda (484-636-6943) so that we can get a head count.

- Friday May 29th 6pm onwards - Help needed to prepare the temple premise for the Vesak Day Celebrations
- Saturday May 30th 11AM onwards - We need help in Dansala Cooking activities.

Please bring following items with you if you have
- Chopping board(s)
- Knives
- 10x10 tent
- Large/Big Spoons
- Can Openers.
