Yesterday we celebrated our midsummer holiday Sunnawente. It was 8 years ago this holiday that our group first formed officially. We have been through many changes over these years and have come through stronger for it. Initially Tony took on the role of Harucwart, when he needed to invest more time researching, Leigh took up the charge. With the arrival of a new baby, Leigh stepped down and Julie stepped up. This speaks to our strength as a group, there is always someone ready to pick up where the last left off. Now a we continue to raise our next generation we are encourage that Bergfuß Liut will last. We welcome a new Learner Mike Studley under Haus Stroud. Mike is already a highly motivated scholar of lore, having already complete our learner curriculum before joining. His hole digging skills are renown having raised a God pole yesterday at Haus Stroud. We look forward to our continued strengthening of our kinship. Many thanks go out to James and Jonathan, thralls of White Marsh Theod who traveled 6 hours to join us in our holy day. As always your company was wonderful and you honored us with the horns you raised in our hall. And finally the winner of our 6th annual summer games is Tony Hood of Bergfuß Liut. Competition was fierce, and ultimately it came down to some great take downs by Tony in the shield wall event. He was not, however, responsible for the collarbone injury to James. That was Chris Brazil the Collar Crusher. James showed great fortitude and insisted on continuing to compete despite his injury.
