Nurtured in Jesus, we Welcome Radically, Serve Gratefully, and Love Abundantly. The Art of Living Your Faith means we

lcoming all to experience God through Worship, Community, Outreach, Compassionate Caring and Growing in Christ. We are a community of followers of Jesus Christ in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition. Luke's we welcome individuals of every race, nationality, gender, age, ability, sexual orientation, and economic circumstance to join us on our journey toward a deeper, richer relationship with God. We go out into the wider community of Durham, NC, as agents of God's grace, mercy, and justice. We are an active part of a larger network of Episcopal congregations called "The Episcopal Diocese of NC"

We love music but can also appreciate silence. We look for the face of God in everyone and look for ways to help and be helped. None are perfect, and all are forgiven.

On Good Shepherd Sunday, in the presence of Bishop Sam Rodman, Father Medina, Rector Greg, and the wardens of St. Luke’s and Iglesia El Buen Pastor signed our Memorandum of Understanding together.

This was more than paperwork—it was a visible sign of our shared commitment to walk together in faith, to mutually support one another, and to continue building a partnership rooted in trust, hospitality, and the love of Christ.

As two distinct congregations sharing one campus, this agreement reflects our desire to honor both communities while strengthening our common life and witness. It is a joyful affirmation that we are better together, and that God is continuing to do beautiful work through this relationship.

We give thanks for this next step and for the Spirit that continues to guide our shared ministry

Don't forget the Women of The Cross service on Good Friday, April 3, at 6:00pm at St. Luke's. This version of the stations of the cross sets the journey through the stations in the context of reflections by Biblical women who knew Jesus, with each meditation read by a woman in the role. All are welcome to walk this path together.
